Jeremy Lin, Kobe, Swaggy P, Randle, J.Hill.. Idk what Lakers have planned for next year. Hoping we can get Kobe something nice out of this Pau trade. If not just to get Nash off the books.

I'm not completely acclimated with the financial side of things, but Pincus was saying that if we stretch Nash, it''ll affect our cap for the 2015-16 season.

How much will be affected and why?

3 mil a year, which could be the difference in signing a key role player or offering people more money. Smarter to just let his deal either expire or the best move him.

Lance is 23 (will be 24 for next season) so he's still young, very young really, but has proven game, since people are so afraid of "rookies that will bust" and all that.

He plays on both sides of the ball.

He can score, he can pass, he can rebound, he plays excellent defense. He can play the 1, 2 or 3 position. Effectively. He's a decent shooter, and still improving, and he can create for himself, or for others.

He is a tireless worker, who wants to be great. The man took full challenge of LeBron James out there.

Paul George makes 90 million dollars, and he wasn't even on Bron like that.

Lance is hungry. And he, with Kobe, and Randle, would be 3 DOGS out there on the floor. Guys that would kill somebody to get the ball, or a stop, or a rebound, or whatever helps the team win.

Lance, brings ALOT to the team. He ain't a head case, he's a dog. And will never, ever, ever back down.

He's worth money to build around, but not insane money of course, I would never advocate for that. When I started preaching for us to get him, it was early in the year, and he was in that 2 years, maybe 16-18 million range. He played so well, it drove his price up, now he can get a nice lil contract from somebody.

We got Nick Young. :rolleyes
You do realize that a core of Kobe/Randle/Lance, in no way, is a bottom 5 team, right?

So you would have SUPPORTED a Lance sighting?

No matter, because it's apparently not happening, but... I would have thought you would have opposed it, being the middle ground team that would make us.

Absolutely. That's why I stopped pushing hard for him.

See, I caught on to Lance early, when his contract was low. We mighta been able to snare him, shorter deal, but with his youth, be like adding an extra first round pick, in a sense.

But then, he really exploded, the whole All Star snub stuff, Pacers winning the East, his play in the playoffs, suddenly, I knew he was out of our price range. So I let that dream die.

No doubt, he and Randle and Kobe would have "made a run" at the postseason, but, the flip to that would be Randle and Lance goin forward is a nice start.

If we threw........2/21 at him, I'd be ok.

If we went 4/45, I'd be a little unhappy, but hopeful that he would improve, Randle would develop, and we could pull a 3rd (more #1 type) guy to put in front of them both.

At this point, I think he stays in Indy, or if the Rockets match Parsons, Dallas throws crazy money at him. Miami could have, if they didn't go 118 on Bosh.

I really think you money people are gonna have to readjust your parameters.

For real.

NBA FA is going through an inflation, something FIERCE.

I can't believe Kobe's grabbing 48, Nick's grabbing 20, Melo's grabbing 120, and Bosh is grabbing 118.

I mean...

I know you guys are upset with the Young signing, but this guy Amin Elhassan on ESPN, supposedly he was a front office executive for the Suns from 06-12 said the Young deal descends in scale so his salary decreases at it goes on. Depending on how its set up, it may not be that bad.

Did someone say nobody was offering nick young that money? some clueless ******* in this thread. He clearly took a paycut to resign here. But keep hating, please do. Only makes it sweeter when my mans starts cookin once again these next few years :pimp:

Are you being sarcastic or funny?

NOBODY wants that guy.

NOBODY.

Paycut? No he didnt. You cant take a paycut out of $0

Show me the teams who showed interest in that clown this offseason?

Heres a clue but i doubt you have any room left from having all these clues and us being clueless...

NOBODY

Swaggy vagina

I can only imagine how it's gonna be next summer.

The Lakers are gonna have more money than this year, but how far is it really gonna go?

Patric Young mention? I'm convinced some of you only watch college basketball highlights if that.

People say why didn't we go after Lance when dude didn't take a 5 year 44 mil deal. If that didn't make him wanna sign, what do you think would have? :rolleyes

Lakers in 3-way talks that would send Pau to CHI + net them 1 or 2 picks. As of now, no players coming back to Lakers. 3rd team possibly HOU

Looks like Dunleavy to Houston, Lakers get 2 picks... probably 2nd rounders.

Now that's interesting. If it's truly set up like that, I might start to adjust my anger.

I need to see the 4 years tho to be sure.

Pincus had it as 5 mil with 250K in raises each year to get to the 4/21. If it's a decreasing, that would make me a LITTLE happier, tho still didn't want him back.

Cause that's a lowball offer (8.8 mil) when you got Gordon Haywood and Chandler Parsons out here getting 15 mil and even Jordan Hill getting 9 mil. Lance is worth more than all of them, his antics drive his price down a little bit, but 11-12 mil is more than fair for the talent he brings to the table.

We need to fill an entire roster. Lance wants too much. I don't think Indi would've had s problem giving him an extra 3-4 mill. Dude is tryna collect, and we can't afford him.

Apparently they did have a problem if that's the offer they gave him. They're near the cap which is why they're trying to lowball him. We could afford him if we weren't giving that bum Nick Young and injured Jordan Hill $14 mil.

So looks like we are going to trade Pau away for some 2nd rd picks, guess Mitch was way overvaluing him during the season, would have been nice to actually get some 2nd round picks in a draft that was deep. :smh:

I'd rather sign those dudes and continue what we're doing than signing him for that much when it won't make much of a difference

Signing a top 25 player in the league won't make a difference now or going forward, and have more value in trades in the future, oh ok.
