What to do with stray cat?

I have a cat in my garage right now, its young(not a kitten). It comes to me so im thinking to put it in a box with some holes in it and take it somewhere. The only shelter I know of is closed right now. Im thinking to just put it in the box and drive it somewhere and let its go. Can't keep it here for various reasons.

I know this is NT and people love the lulz but I really do need some ideas. The person I live with wants to kill it as soon as they get the chance.

Any ideas?

Cats are the best. Very low maintenance
Get it's shots and get the luv
 
FYI alot of animals that get taken to shelters end up getting euthanized.


If you like the lil bugger,just buy some cat food and keep a bowl outside. Boom... you now have a pet outdoor kitteh.

I really like cats, but I can't keep one here unfortunately. That's why I'm trying to figure out whats the best route to take.

I'm not. It doesn't have a collar or anything like that so I'm just assuming its feral. There is another cat I see out at night something that has a collar. My guess with that one is the owner(s) let its out at night.

I say go against the grain and keep it anyway
Your landlord not gonna front if you SAVED AN ANIMAL
Just make sure you get shots, a sandbox, and get it declawed and spayed

Im going to catch it, drive a few miles away and let it go. It probably has a better chance in the wild than in a shelter.

Craigslist add

"Free small cat to good home"
 
Just take out a Craigslist indicating it was found and then take it to the shelter when it opens. The cat may be micro chipped which will help identify who the owner is.
 
I didn't have time for any of that unfortunately. The person I live with would of killed it so I had to do something asap.

I gave it some tuna and water then let it out a block away.
