I've already e-mailed this thread as well as the photo you provided in the previous page to every single school district, youth mentorship program, YMCA, and foster home in Oxnard, California. Will be forwarding the thread to programs in Ventura and Los Angeles shortly.

Damn.... :smh:

Tbh, it wasn't that bad but it was kinda messed up. Lil big man will get over it. If you are going to be a youth mentor though, you should try to ease up though on little things like what happened and learn to just let it go. It's okay dough OPie it happens sometimes.

This just reminded me of this summer job I had in 07 working at this rec center in the burbs before I went to school. So I'm a counselor and they assign you different groups to spend the day with. So one day me and my Partners got the group outside sitting at the picnic table playing board games and yugio cards. Anyway, it was this lil white kid arguing with this lil black kid. Keep in mind I said the burbs, it was allllll white kids with maybe 3 black Kids mixed in. I was a lil closer to the black ones cuz we all we got. So whatever they were arguing about, it was getting a lil bit heated so I stepped in to get them to chill. Idk why but when I did, the white kid tried to disrespect me. He was saying something to me, I dnt really remember at all what it was but I just know I went IN on lil homie. I started talking about his mom who had just had back surgery or something and said I broke her back ******* her too hard. I didn't say it raw like that, I know I said it in a way in which I didn't feel bad about it at all and basically as a joke. The kid didn't cry or nothing, he just kept talking about how he was gonna get his brother on me. I told him to tell his ******* brother, idgaf

So like A WEEK later, I'm getting set to get my lil group together for an activity and I get called into the office by the Director and Head Counselor. As soon as I walk in I see the lil boy crying sitting next to his mom and dad.... Insert Wee Bey Gif.... Caught me all the way off guard, so much I couldn't even defend myself. That **** felt like a trial. They asked the lil boy what I said to him, he said " He said he broke your back DOING YOU"

I couldn't even say ****...I just apologized and said maybe I went a too far going back and forth with the kid....Got fired and the lil boy looked at me with tears and hate in his eyes during the conference, I'm pretty sure he hates black ppl because of this.

thought you were going to say, "hopefully the kids aren't fat."

 you'll be good bro. the best type of youth mentor you can be is one who teaches kids to be self-deprecating. Obviously you want to pick your battles, but man these kids need to get used to life poking fun at them, and they gotta learn to roll with those punches and shoot out a few of their own verbal jabs.

Part of being comfortable in your own skin, don't hold no punches with these kids man they need to hear that.
