Very good point.

If adidas still kept the gradient knit pattern, but made the colorblocking one solid color like the OG knit pattern vs. different colors for each part of the gradient, would you guys like it more?

See that's the thing, if it's gradient, it shouldn't be 1 solid color with 1 accent line or gradient with 3 similar shades of colors blending. They all look off. Only a few of the gradients look dope (solar red and some of the womens purple ones) because they are mixing and matching accent colors.

Also OG knit pattern goes well with the silhouette. Gradient kinda looks like an after thought.
 
Yet if gradients came out first they would be the standard and people would be crying if the took it away for the regular knit. Oh how perception and first impressions work.

Nike used that same gradient pattern on some of their Frees several years ago and it was ugly then too.  They ditched it and hopefully Adidas will do the same.

I highly doubt that because even the 1st gradient wave sat. People only scooped up the neutral colors like black and white.

Maybe if Kanye wore them then gradients might be popular.

My point is if the first UB ever released (og purple) were gradients then perception of them would be different.

Remember those things went on the outlet as well...  It was only towards the 3rd quarter last year that UBs actually picked up...  Well up until everyone saw triple whites on yeezy.

  I personally didnt care for them up until I actually tried them on.  A lot of the OGs in this thread have been loyalist even before then but it wasnt as saturated like it is now.

NP - i actually just got them.  I had ben looking for a while too.  Fear Of God makes some that are like $500 bucks +.  Everyone has been wearing these H&M versions that are $30 bucks... and honestly are super stretchy and comfy - perfect match for any UB or Y3.  They sold out super fast but I hear some H&M's have in store.  I found these on ebay and paid around 15 bucks over retail... Sized them normal - 32 in most denim - 32 in these as well.  Hope that helps.  Link to the pants (sold out) below.
