Just a thread where I'll be posting the most recent stuff from rappers you probably thought were dead or working the 3AM shift at Jack-in-The-Box, or one's you probably thought fell off but still have been putting out music for a long time. Overall just flying under the radar stuff. Feel free to add your own.

This was released a couple months ago, and it's pretty solid. All the producers on here laced him pretty well.

Slim Thug pretty much has been releasing stuff every year since his first major album in 05. One of the few Houston dudes who didn't completely switch his style up and sound like he's from somewhere else. The first 3 are from his 'Boss Life' album towards the end of 2013, and the last one is just a random freestyle from this year.

Juvenile has popped back up on some of Currensy's stuff, but he also released 'The Rejuvenation' in 2012, and 'The Fundamentals' 2 months ago.

Twista released this EP back in December of 2013. I bought like 2 tracks off of it after running through it.

61dMagqSHVL._SL500_AA280_.jpg

He also released this song maybe two weeks ago. Sounds like something that could've been on his 'Day After' album from 2005

This is from a 'Serial Killers' mixtape early last year, where Xzibit, B-Real, and some dude name Demrick collabed together. The video is only from 2

months ago though.

This Xzibit album came out in 2012, and it's actually very good, still spin a handful of tracks right now.

After Kendrick Lamar's "Control", Papoose popped back up on the radar as honestly put out some of his best material since like 2007. Hoodie Season 1 (Nov 2013), Hoodie Season 2 (Jan 2014), and his Cigar Society EP (March 2014) are all worthy spins. His FINALLY released album Nacirema Dream (March 2013) sounded dated like crazy. The only notable songs I remember are "Alphabetical Slaughter Z to A", and "Pimpin Won't Die", which has the beat originally from a Stack Bundles song.

I-20 has been steady releasing music since 2010, and has been making MUCH better music that Ludacris during that same time span. He's released 7 mixtapes that I know of, the latest being 'The Amphetamine Manifesto' 2 at the top of 2013, and here's some faves from those. My favorite song from him so far is this song

Styles P just released this album two weeks ago (made a thread about it), and currently has the best catalog out of all the LOX members

Styles P also released this album last April as well, and I'd say it's actually better than his most recent one, but both are still very good.

J-Kwon in 2009. *Michael Jordan Laugh*

Lil' Flip has released a **** ton of mixtapes since he's been out the limelight. Pretty much something every single year, whether an album or a mixtape.

Here's a couple tapes from him since 2010 all the way until the top of this year:

Black Rob released these in 2011 and 2013

Dr. Dre left Stat Quo rotting on Aftermath, so he didn't release Statlanta until 2010, teamed with Bobby Creek to release 'FUPM' in 2013, then 'ATLA' Feb 2014. I remember Statlanta being good without Dre's production, and loved what I heard from those latter two albums.

Gorilla Zoe had some album called 'King Kong' back in 2011, and in 2010 had some '28 Days of Zoe' mixtape series, where he was releasing .

N.O.R.E. dropped this back in late 2013, and has some group album 'Good Belt Bang' that came out 2 months ago.

His Noreality album came out it 2007. It was alright, mostly just played that "Drink Champ" song produced by Alchemist.

Freeway has been putting out stuff nearly every year since he left Rocafella, including this collab mixtape back in April

Freeway_Girl_Talk_Broken_Ankles-front-large.jpg

From Freeway & Jake One's 'Stimulous Package' album in 2010, probably one of my favorite albums from that year

From his 2012 'Freedom of Speech' mixtape

From his 2011 'Intermission' mixtape

Just like Slim Thug, Paul Wall has been releasing stuff nearly every year since being out of the limelight, as recently as his 'Check Season' album earlier this year, and a collab mixtape with D-Boss back in March. Him and Slim Thug had a real nice 'Welcome 2 Texas' mixtape back in 2013 as well.

Came across a new Bone Thugs album in 2013, wasn't feeling it much cause it only had 3 of the Bone Thugs members on it, Bizzy, Flesh, and Layzie. These tracks are pretty cool though. Krayzie Bone has been popping up one random stuff here and there the past couple of years, and released 4 mixtapes since 2009.

Remember Huey, the "Pop Lock & Drop It" dude? Well this mixtape was released today. I really haven't heard from him since his singles back then, so I'm seeing this for 1st time right now

I put some Chingy stuff in the original post, but he dropped some drop compilation a either today, or the other night. He goes by 'Chingy Jackpot' now.

I made a thread on this back in October when it came out. Mike Jones pretty much sounds just like he did back when he was hot, but I wasn't feeling a handful of the beats he was rapping over. This tape came out in 2013, but some of the songs have been flaoting around since 2012.

Young Chris just released a pretty nice mixtape (Gunna Season, a thread was already made for it) last week. As far as the stuff I've listened to, he's been steadily releasing stuff since 2009. Honestly he should be signed somewhere and being pushed, whether on a major label or E1. Dude has been nice for a long time.

If you're talking about Reggaeton Sean Paul, I remember him growing a mohawk and releasing some stuff from 2012-2014, including two different albums. Some of it sounds like techno/house music, and judging from the amount of views, it's VERY popular.

Now if you're talking about Sean Paul from YoungBloodZ (going by Sean P now to sort of avoid confusion), he released this back in 2007. I remember previewing it on amazon way back, but don't remember how it sounds. Here's some tracks from it though.

61Pcw5Ta4tL._SL500_AA280_.jpg

J-Bo from YoungBloodz released this back in 2008.

61jq%2BgK7RlL._SY300_.jpg

This is from 2010, produced by Johnny Juliano, who you probably know from those filnobep parodies and early Wiz Khalifa stuff

These 2 are YoungBloodZ tracks from the end of 2013 to the top of 2014

Since I didn't care for 'Watch The Throne', I didn't care for Obie Trice's 'Watch The Chrome' in 2012...

Obie_Trice_Watch_The_Chrome-front-large.jpg

...but I did like what I heard from his 'Bottoms Up' album that came out later that same year. Was surprised Em and Dre produced a track or two, but the other beats on there were more noteworthy, specifically Statik Selektah.

I was a huge D12 fan back in the day, so I pretty much kept up with a lot of the members. Mr. Porter/Kon-Artis has been consistently producing for a lot of people during that entire time, including a lot of good stuff. I remember Swifty having a mixtape back in 2010, and also being on being on that 'Return of The Dozen' mixtape from 2011, but I'll look up some other stuff and add it just in case he has more material. Kuniva released 3 mixtapes that I know of, and all 3 are pretty dope too (Retribution in March 2010, Midwest Marauders 1 in August 2010 and Midwest Marauders 2 in August 2012, and have stayed in the rotation. And as I'm posting links, apparently he released a 'Lost Gold EP' in 2012, and Midwest Marauders 3 in 2013. Automatic downloads for me.

I still check for Bizarre's stuff just from how good his 1st 2 albums were. Yes, he had two very good albums in 2005 (Hannicap Circus) and 2007 (Blue Cheese & Coney Island). He had another album after that, don't remember the name, but I remember the leadoff song had Tech N9ne on it. He's had 3 or 4 mixtapes as well, all with a handful of tracks with a slight Atlanta influence, just cause he's been back and forth from LA, Detroit, and Atlanta for awhile now. All of his tapes are pretty good, but if you weren't listening to D12 back then, you probably wouldn't check now. I think they're worth a listen though, especially his most recent tape (May 2013), which has a handful of Honorable C-Note beats that Gucci Mane/Yo Gotti/Young Jeezy could have easily rapped over. These songs posted will be just from his most recent mixtapes, Lace Blunts, This Guy's A Weirdo, and Lace Blunts 2, along with his most recent "Pray For me" song from earlier this year.

*googles Gillie Da Kid and then Phillys Most Wanted*

Kinda funny you mentioned Gillie, as I randomly ran across some of his recent stuff after looking up some Cap1 stuff. These are from the end of last year til about February.

Both of these came out in early 2013

Remember Lil' Wyte from Hypnotize Minds? I remember either making a thread of a 2012 album 'Still Doubted' (or putting it in the Thread About Nothing, not sure), but he's been consistently making music since he was first one Project Pat's "Crash Da Club" back in 01 or 02. Back in 2011 he had some group album called 'Year Round' with Jelly Roll & BPZ. I remember DJ Paul & Juicy J producing the whole thing, but I only remember two songs off of it. Him & JellyRoll also had this album called 'No Filter' back in 2013, and a couple tracks were pretty nice. And after going through a couple vids, Lil Wyte and Frayser Boy just put an album out called 'B.A.R.' just this past February, and another solo album called 'No Sick Days' back in April of this year. His noticeable weight fluctuation is interesting. It's pretty clear when he was on all these drugs, and when he started doing much less

Dem Franchize Boys?

Rich Boy ?

I thought that Rich Boy x Polow Da Don team would do wonders.

I haven't kept up with Rich Boy much since 2007, but I remember somebody making a thread that included these mixtapes, the 1st in 2011, and the latter in 2013, along with a 2013 album. And i also thought him and Polow would be running things, but Polow pretty much has mostly been doing pop and R&B stuff, and a lot of it too.

Dem Franchize Boyz last I heard had a mixtape called Voltron in 2011, and Pimpin from DFB had a mixtape around 2009. I'm also remembering that Jizzalman had a mixtape recently too

After doing some looking around, I came across this 'Retro Hip Hop' mixtape from Swifty McVay of D12. It came out June 2013, and I listened to a couple tracks and they're not bad at all. I always thought he was pretty dope in D12, so it was cool hearing him rap over these mostly 80's and early 90's beats. He also had an 'Assassins' tape in 2012, and 'Forest Fyres' in 2009. I had listened to Forest Fyres back then but don't really remember how it sounds.

For those who came across DJ Paul's Mafia 6ix '6ix Commandments' mixtape (released last year), you may not have known that Lord Infamous (R.I.P.) had been releasing a handful of independant albums from his Black Rain Entertainment label he formed after [sort of] leaving Three 6 Mafia. He had been releasing stuff from 2007 (both solo and compilations) all the way up til his death last year. he left a looooooooooot of music behind. I also remember making a thread on this 'Back From The Dead' album Lord Infamous had, maybe in 2012, and there were a couple good tracks on there..

Since @301216baller bumped it already, I'll add MJG's 'Too Pimpin' album in here too. I bought it from amazon back in November 2013 when I previewed it and loved what I heard. It's described as a "soundtrack to pimpin", and that's exactly what it is. It has 18 or 19 listed tracks, but 4-5 are skits. I don't think it's more than 40 minutes, but it's a really good listen. A 'Too Pimpin 2.0' came out this past February as well.He also released two albums in 2008, one called 'This May Be The Day' and 'Pimp Tight' (or 'Pimp Type' as @Brolic Scholar would say'). I don't remember much about either album, but 'This May Be The Day' had this song with The Grand Hustle Snitch Alfamega that I had in rotation for awhile then.

Chamillionaire pretty much fell out of the limelight after 2007, but since then has been steadily releasing mixtapes up until 2011 or 2012, released two EPs called 'Reignfall' and 'Elevate' in 2013, and as of March 2014, released this song called "End of A Knife". I bought a couple songs from both EPs, and they were pretty nice. He's always been one of the best Houston dudes lyrically, but he
doesnt always get his due.

I know people are at least a little familiar with Tech N9ne. I've only bought 3 recent albums from him, but he and his Strange Music label basically put out music every year. The most recent stuff I bought of his were his 2008 'Killer' album, 'All 6's & 7's' from 2011, and 'Something Else' from 2013. In between that time though, he's released multiple solo and compilation albums. He released a 'Strangulation' album on May 6th, which I think is another compilation type album.

If you remember Infamous Mobb who used to be on a lot of Mobb Deep Stuff, all 3 members have recent stuff, but I've only really kept up with Twin Gambino, and sort of seen Ty Nitty and Godfather III. In 2008, Twin Gambino, Prodigy, and Un Pachino had this 'Product of the 80's' album, and it hand a handful of good stuff on there. He also had this mixtape called 'Grimey One Vol.1' in 2007. I didn't hear much of the tape, but I really rocked with "Hood Diaries". The most recent full length project I listened to from him was 'Be Original' in October 2013, which is a really good tape from start to finish.

I haven't listened to Ty Nitty much, but I know he's been putting out a lot of vids between 2011-2014, with two mixtapes I remember back in 2010 I think. His Animal Instinct mixtape has a lot of Mobb Deep beats that he raps over. Just from skimming a couple of these tracks, don't sound bad at all.

View media item 978188View media item 978189Just happened to see this too as of 2013

Godfather III doesn't have a lot of vids that I know of, but he does have some as recent as earlier this year. Him and Ty Nitty have a joint mixtape too from 2010.

Since I added MJG, may as well post 8Ball's stuff too. He released two really good tapes in March of 2012 and Janurary of 2013. I personally think the first 'Premro' tape is better than part two. He also had a solo album in 2012 (Life's Quest), but I only heard the "We Buy Gold" song produced Big KRIT, and maybe like 2 other tracks. Together, 8Ball & MJG released 2 albums in 2010, 'Ten Toes Down' which was on Grand Hustle, and 'From The Bottom 2 the Top', which was independent. Ten Toes Down had a couple of really solid tracks on there.

If you remember Peedi Crakk from State Property, here's some of his most recent stuff. Crakk Files Vol. 4 was a really good tape that I still spin here and there. It came out at the end of 2011. Crakk Files Vol. 5 (May 2013) was alright. It had a couple of good tracks but not nearly as many good ones as Vol. 4.

You may remember Big Noyd as a Modd Deep affiliate. The last thing I personally listened to from him was his 'Illustrious' album from 2008, which had a lot of pretty good tracks on it. Other than that, he released 'Queens Chronicles' from 2010. Dudes movements in videos kill me

Haven't listened to a lot of Daz Dillinger since around 2006 or 2007, but I did check out him and WC's 'Westcoast Gangsta ****' which came out in 2013. Had a lot of good tracks on there. Besides that, I'll just list his stuff from 2009 all the way up until April 2014 with his 'Weed money' album. The track list actually looks very nice based on the types of features, and though I don't know who Trippy Keez is, he produced the whole album. Mike Will & Drumma Boy did 1 or 2 beats on his 'Witit Witit' albim.

Redman had this really good mixtape drop back in late 2013 called 'Redman Remixxes'. One reason i think this tape was so good is that Redman sounded as refreshed as ever, and he rapped over a lot of beats that either haven't been heard in years, or beats that not many other rappers jumped on.
