Newbie on the forums but seems there is quite a lot of knowledge here

Having issues deciding which size i need in Jordan shoes.

I usually wear size 15 Nike's (nothing fancy) but the first few days my left foot hurts (little toe against the side and my big toe hits the front). Eventually they will loosen up but are a bit deformed (where my small toes is). My rightfoot is okay, it's a bit smaller than my left foot.

Someone said - you should buy a size up, you should have some room left at the front. I did the measuring trick (using a pen to trace your foot) and i ended up very close to the US16 measurement. Assumed it was okay to order one size up from normal since i have quite wide feet. So i got a set of AJ1 mid shoes.

Seems the fit is not perfect, the width on my left foot is good, i wouldn't say perfect but it's a lot better than size 15 nikes i also have. Right foot is perfect. But they seem a bit too long. On my left foot i have a cm (2/5"), the left one is at 2 cm (4/5"). (With thin socks)

I will be able to wear these, I'm just not sure what to do in the future. I read AJ1's are narrow and long, if this is true other AJ's should be a better fit for me. Or am i just in between sizes and should i get 15.5

Any Advice on my situation? Afraid i can't just go and try on the others, best case scenario is finding a set of nike US15 runningshoes, near impossible to get US size 14-15-16 here in Belgium except online

jordan brand are terrible at sizing. some come atrociously big and others small. you can't even rely on the same model being re-released. the 2003 retro xii, for instance, fit perfectly tts (true to size) whereas more recent retros are at least a half size bigger. same thing with vii's, recent retros were absurdly big (i went a whole size down on my oly). xvii run ridiculously narrow, so you might need a half size up.

your only option is to get a pair of reliably sized shoes which fit perfectly. aj2012 are good, lebron x too. kd6 fit right also. that would gauge you own tts size.

then you will have to rely on the sizing reports of others on niketalk.

welcome to nt.

Thanks for the answer! I'll get one of the true fit shoes you advice.

Seems there is 1 none-webshop in Belgium, literally 500 meters from my home, which always promises they stock the bigger sizes. Never in stock untill now - several 15's. I'll go over to try out a set of 15's as well!
