Calvin Johnson the best player in the NFL who isn't a quarterback but Josh Gordon is the 2nd best wide receiver.

It funny to me you are comparing Josh Gordon's 14 game season to Calvin's 16 in 2008

says the guy who was comparing Gordon's '13 campaign to Calvin's rookie year.

C'mon guy.

Also where do ya'll see Keenan Allen ascending to this year? I was a doubter but he clearly has the talent to be one of the league's premier wideouts.

Wait what?

When Josh Gordon was 22 he lead in the NFL in receiving yards in 14 games.

When Calvin Johnson was 23 he had a good season but it wasn't Josh Gordon's 2013, It ain't that hard.

 Bro they both had stellar sophomore years. Calvin had 3 more TDs. Sure he had two more games, but he was at the very least in a balanced offense with Kevin Smith and Rudi Johnson sharing time in the backfield.

After the Browns traded Trent it was the Josh Gordon show with a lil' bit of Jordan Cameron and Chris Ogbonnaya sprinkled in here and there.

So nah? Nobody wants to talk about Julio Jones or Keenan Allen?

How about Vic Cruz? Does he return to the top-10 with Ben McAdoo as the Giants new o-coord?

Because he's ******* awesome.

You got NFL Rewind?

Josh Gordon had more yards per game, more catches, more yards per catch and less fumbles.

Josh Gordon has a whooping 5 more targets in 2013 than Calvin in 2008.

Josh Gordon wasn't even in the top 5 in targets last year and still had that ridiculous year.

Josh Gordon had 10th most receiving yards in a single season in the history of the NFL, IN 14 games.

Fully expecting Julio to return to the top 10 this year.

Rueben Randle had a pretty good year, last year. With you guys adding Beckham, I definitely expect Cruz to have a better year also.

Anybody who doubts what Gordon did last year must be crazy. What dude did at his age was absolutely crazy
It really is a tragedy that he has to be bone headed

Bro you're entitled to your opinion, I can argue that the Browns had a relatively soft schedule last year as the strength of opponents (their opponents combined win-loss was losing) was amongst the leagues 10 easiest.

I can go on about him getting a lot of numbers in garbage time.

I can talk about broken coverage, etc.

At days end you're not going to convince me he's better than Calvin was at the same age. You're not going to convince me he's better than Calvin now either, so we're just going to have to have a difference of opinion.

Who is doubting him tho? I'm just not ready to tout him as a top-5 receiver just yet.

I know I can't change your opinion I just want to point how ridiculous you sound bringing up garbage time for Josh's 2013 season when the Lions didn't win a damn game in 2008.

You brought up how Josh Gordon got all the offensive action last year on the Browns and I showed you how he got1.5 more targets a game than Calvin Johnson did in 2008.

What Calvin Johnson did in 2008 was solid. What Josh Gordon did in 2013 was historic.

Calvin didn't make the Pro Bowl in 2008. Josh was an all pro in 2013.

There is literally nothing objectively that you say Calvin Johnson did on a football field in 2008 better than Josh Gordon in 2013.

Nothing, nada, zlitch, no facts are on your side.

Again I'm not saying Calvin was better than Gordon either, I'm just not sure if Gordon was better in his sophomore year either.

I'm saying that right now Calvin is the better overall talent and when they were the same age, all things considered, I can't say one was better than the other.

Do you remember how sorry that 08 Lions team was though bro? He had literally no complementary receivers. At the very least Jordan Cameron forced opposing defenses to stay somewhat honest.

Julio was on an absolute tear before ******* up that foot. He's reportedly running around and stuff so hopefully he's good to go. He's got screws holding that thing together though man and another broken bone in his foot might be a career changer.

He's a tough SOB though, participated in the combine with a broken bone in his foot. Dude is a beast.

Honestly at the pace he was on we might have him in this conversation with Calvin, Josh, Dez & AJ.

As far as Reuben Randle goes, he needs to get better on post routes, he's got to get better at running routes, he's gotta stop making costly mistakes and letting balls bounce off his hands. He's uber talented and hopefully he can make some solid strides going forward.

Excited to see how ODB Jr does this year. UBER excited to see how Vic does. :smokin

I doubted big time, myself. Injuries to that Charger WR corp definitely thrust him into playing time he otherwise wasn't seeing and he definitely seized that opportunity. Keenan doesn't really come off as a guy to really ascend to anything though in terms of talent. He'll be a steady and solid producer his entire career. On a Championship team he's the perfect #2 guy. He'll have a good year again next year, but I wouldn't expect him to ascend all that much higher from what we saw last year.

Then again I'm 0-3 on Cal receivers in the League so who knows (Desean, Lavelle and Keenan)?

Yeah IDK about his upside, but I love his game. Real intense on the field, a ton of tenacity, he's going to fight for the ball. He's not the biggest, most athletic specimen either, but he just gets separation and can run crisp routes.

I expect him to form a deadly tandem with Ladarius Green this season, I think Ladarius leapfrogs Gates and takes the lead TE spot this season.

Man if Danario never got hurt the Chargers would be downright scary.

What about Alshon Jeffrey? Was his production a product of defenses accounting for B-Marsh or is he legit? I think we saw his ceiling last year and defenses will have to respect him coming into this season.

But if that is his ceiling that's still one heck of a ceiling.

Did Gordon officially get suspended yet?
And top slot receivers

1. Graham
2. Cobb
3. Harvin
4. Welker
5. Cruz

Didn't realize there were so few true slot receivers lol

I'm surprised the G-Men went OBJ at #12, could result as a reach when we look back in 10 years. I see Antonio Brown qualities in OBJ, but I personally believe in Cruz, Randle, Jernigan. I guess Reese didn't.

Green is at the top of my 2014-2015 fantasy sleeper list. He's got the size and athleticism to produce at a high level. Had a productive three week stretch in 2013 against Dolphins, Chiefs, and Bengals.

I've been rooting for Alexander all along, since Mizzou as a WR/TE hybrid but time is running out.

Completely legit. Saw flashes at South Carolina. Has potential to be a "Q" Boldin-like receiver if he puts everything together throughout his career.

Welker is not better than Vic.

Ehhhh. Idk about that one.

With both guys having down years I'll take walkers 10tds with threats everywhere over Cruz's season as the go to guy.

And 2012 wasn't even close, Wes wins by a landslide.

Looking forward, naturally you like Cruz's youth. Let's see homie bounce back this year first.

I definitely consider graham a slot receiver even when he's in the line he pretty much just does slot receiver (manipulating zones or pressing the seam) and I would out Cruz over Welker but I have no faith in anything the giants are doing and think it could affect Cruz

I was just talking to a bears fan and he made me laugh, he referred to jay cutler as femalish
