He isn't being suspended again, or tagged on more games...he just got cut.

Meaning, he'll be re-signed by another team by the time he's reinstated....

people wishing for Goodell to go...who do you replace him with? you're just going to get another guy catering to the almighty dollar and to owners

At the risk of sounding like the ultimate dbag...there's a part of me that's glad the total cluster **** which its turned into happened to THIS league and THIS particular organization.

If this issue was going to take place no matter what...I couldn't be any more satisfied that the NFL, Roger Goodell and the Baltimore Ravens are the parties involved.

I'm not a Ravens hater. I don't have anything against Baltimore. The 2012 Ravens trounced my team from the playoffs and from then on I was rooting for Ray Lewis and those boys to win it. But over the years I've gotten ******* tired of hearing a bunch of those dudes ***** and complain about every. single. thing. Non-stop whining and complaining when **** doesn't go their way and making claims it's all a part of some league wide conspiracy to screw them. From members of different coaching staffs to the players and it trickled down to (some) of their fanbase.

Now we get the biggest scandal since Big Ben was finessin' broads and it turns out the league did more than a solid for them. I don't wanna hear "WE GOT SCREWED!" talk ever again from those folks. Shut that **** up now.

Even when Roger Goodell was getting standing ovations at the NFL draft (how silly does that look today?

)...I was already tired of his cowboy schtick. @StillIn729 already alluded to it in here, but for a tough guy commissioner he sure does a lot of reacting to the "here & now" instead of being proactive with known issues.

There are few things I love more than seeing hypocrisy and fraudulence get revealed. Two birds with one stone with this Ray Rice situation.

How's that hot **** feel?

The NFL is king in spite of Roger and his mishaps (IMO). These blunders keep piling up and long term effects will be felt. I think Cuban's comments are very telling
I agree 1000% with all of this. Roger and the people who pay him make Cuban's comments look better by the day.

that's always gonna be the case given that it's a business, but perhaps someone with a little better grasp of reality and ethics

one can only hope though as the nfl is populated & run by so many meatheads

good luck finding that person

there's a reason most commissioners are hated by fans

He isn't being suspended again, or tagged on more games...he just got cut.

Meaning, he'll be re-signed by another team by the time he's reinstated....

You really think so?

He's supposed to be reinstated on Friday ... you hoping the Browns sign him since Tate got hurt yesterday? :nerd:

Browns have two other RBs that are good. They don't need Rice.

All this would have been avoided if Roger would have suspended Ray for 8-12 games. I hope Ray sues the NFL and gets money because this whole situation is BS. Ray definitely deserved more games but if he doesn't play again, it's BS.

If Vick can make it back into the league and change his image I'm sure Rice can, too.

Nah.

No one in the NFL really wanted Vick out.

That fake out cry was for PETA.

I think people legit don't want Ray back like Chad.
Not only that, the NFL has had an image problem in this scope for a long time. Hell, you can even trace the image issue back to OJ even tho he was long since retired when his trial came up.

Not at all.

If they don't allow him to play again when he's reinstated, he's going to sue the NFL...it'll just get uglier.

That's how I view it..

It was a joke fam :smh:

I was just wondering why he thought another team would pick him up this week.

not sure if there's a team who'd want to take the weight of having ray rice on their team especially after all of this

it's just too much regardless of a few extra wins he can provide the team with

this isn't some ped scandal or **** like that. this is heavy, branded for life type of stuff

Link to the whole story of what went down between him and his girl? I haven't gotten a chance to read up on much of it.

My sentiments exactly.

It'll be really really bad on the NFL if he doesn't play again. It'll just further prove how inconsistent they are with their rulings. Flat out.

You know Jerry Jones will have no problem signing  Ray Rice.

Actually, he might not touch him either. It would cause people to boycott his games and not pay to come watch them.

Ray just might be done

NFL and ravens dont want this kind of heat. PR nightmare. Theyll have the feminist movement up their *** asap and lose millions.

NFL teams don't care about conduct like the NFL offices do, hence why the Ravens just now cut him, instead of before when the situation happened. It's all about talent and money...

I can't see anyone signing him at this point. If Goodell sent a letter around to all the owners about signing Mike Sam to the parctice squad, you don't think he would do the same saying not to sign Rice?
