Those are two extremely different situations. There is no comparison there other than the fact that they're both black starting QB's who occasionally run.
Yes there is both have had extremely good rookie seasons and have been terrible ever since.

i don't get the hate on rg3 for endorsement deals is he not supposed get paid off his image like every other athlete does? should he just hope and pray his fragile body lasts 15 years in the nfl? it's ludicrous some of this hate. let the boy do his thing.

He can't stay healthy because he's getting murdered back there. Now that's partly his fault but still. I think he can be a star and here's why....there's a difference in saying a person has "potential" and actually seeing someone perform.
When you SEE it; you know that person has it in them. RG3 has star QB in him...we've seen it. You don't do what he did that first year and just forget how to play all of a sudden. Either through not putting the time in...or injury he's lost some something. I still think he can get it back though.
he's been a good boy his whole CAREER and had a "decent" Matt Schaub one year. Sadly I think Dre will go down as one of the most underrated WRs ever. What's he's done with the QB play he's had is pretty dang remarkable.

I feel like he could rejuvenate his career somewhere. Like others have mentioned,I doubt that he just forgot how to play football all of a sudden and is just gonna stay bad. In the right situation with an at least decent O-line, I feel like he could live up more to his potential. Even with all that's happened over the last 2 seasons,it's still too early to write him off at 24. I wouldn't mind seeing him back in Texas with O'Brien in Houston.

He's got to hope that if he gets PT next year, he can parlay that to a decent payday on a 2nd contract (he's still on his rookie deal thru 2015).

Luck also isn't injury prone. Let Griffin cook and get paid. Dude could potentially be out of the league in a couple of years, Luck will be here for the next 10. These guys play this game to get paid, heaven forbid they get as many endorsement deals as possible before their time is up.

Skins are dumb, but the RG3 ship has sailed. Probably the smartest thing they did was take a wait-and-see approach w/ Griffin going into this year.

They should focus their attention on building the O-line and get a beast in that top-5...but we'll probably end up w/ Winston.

he's proven that he can at least lead a team to the playoffs. the other two haven't remotely come close to that. and i think he gets a pass with Shannahan who proved to be a moron himself. but we'll see. i still think he can be a good QB in this league.
and for the RG3 haters...i said "good"...not "great"

Yeah RG3 had a great rookie year but people need to let that go. If you don't improve the league will catch up to you. He's injury prone and his confidence ain't the same. Wherever he goes he needs to lay low and work.

Wait, I never said he won't get a chance. I just said he's not owed a shot by anyone. The demand won't be there either. Someone said that he deserves a shot, I don't think he does. I think he'll be a backup somewhere next year.
