@AdamSchefter: Now here's a fit that makes a ton of sense: former Panthers RB DeAngelo Williams is scheduled to visit the Steelers on Friday, per source.

really hope this happens, perfect backup for Le'Veon

After all this noise...

I'm taking the Vikings to make the biggest jump into playoff status next season.

They get something decent for AP.. Or convince him to return.. That team is going be serious

Really like what they are doing, just need to add a couple more threats on offense

One theory....Eagles flip Bradford + 20 + 2nd round pick to the Skins for the #5.
You would want that?  Sounds like a bad deal to me.

Never said I did...it's just being floated out there on the Skins MB.

Personally, I wouldn't be against the Skins drafting Mariota....just because there are SO many holes on the roster. We know RG3 ain't the future, but if SM sees that Mariota is a guy who can be a potential franchise QB, I'll trust his judgement.

At the end of the day, I think it's all posturing from the Skins to try to force someone's hand *cough* Chip* to trade up.

Systems make players in college, this is the league you need talent too.

Patriots seem to be doing fine with a solid QB and just plug and play everything else on offense

Revis and Browner weren't just a "plug and play" type tandem.

Gronk being healthy wasn't a "plug and play TE."

The system got them to the playoffs for a long competitive decade, sure. No debating that, they even went 11-5 in 2008 with Matt Cassell so obviously they know what they're doing with less talent.

But... You don't win the Super Bowl with plug and play talent.

It took all of their studs being healthy at the right time to finally capitalize.

Systems work, talent wins.

That's exactly my point. Only the patriots have what's close to a "system" and they have a top 3 coach and Qb ever as already alluded to. No other team has a system in the league.

IATT IATT i acknowledged the offense was very good, and I respect the numbers. As good as it was it still had it flaws, as every team does. Wouldn't you agree they couldn't score points in key moments in multiple games, some y'all lost, others Jenkins and or sproles won the game?

I'm not dogging the offense, I just find it hard to see how a system will get better with what everybody expects to be lesser talent. Similar to how everyone felt about the cowboys d prior to this season, someone said that a few days ago too.

@mikecwright: Raiders signing Dan Williams and Curtis Lofton per source. Getting Williams pulled them out of Knighton sweepstakes.

Pats will obviously be a playoff contender until both Brady & Belichick retire, so yes, they will be "fine". But you can't tell me that losing Revis,Browner and Wilfork doesn't hurt. Hard to replace great players in this league.

100027 100027 You clearly don't like Bradford, I haven't seen enough to really have an opinion personally but who would you prefer, Robert Griffin or Bradford?

I also want to see what McCourtey looks like without Browner and Revis back there.

That's a tough question

I guess Bradford?  I mean at this point he's probably a mediocrity rather than a soul-crushing, media-sucking failure.

If we were rewinding to a draft when both were coming out than I would easily pick RG3 but he is damaged goods now.

again, I have no clue what the point of this Bradford move was.. unless it's part of some bigger plan

having said that, I readily admit the issues we had on offense.. which is why I started what I said above with the thing that plagued the offense the most last year, all the turnovers (and general poor play from the QB spot).. I think/hope chip plans to further address the QB position and get more stability there

and obviously he's been working on the back end of our defense (and based on the rumors, is still trying to address that area of the team).. we were solid along the line, but our LBs needed to be addressed and obviously our secondary was a mess
