there's nothing special about them. they just have a bass boosting eq. Better quality earphones can be had for a fraction of the price.

bose/beats your paying for the brand they have some good items but none that are worth their price point.

If you really need active/passive noise cancelling then id recommend them other than that there are better quality headphones for fractions of the price that still look amazing.

Shure, Sennheiser, AT are superior products.

Its a never ending path but that HeadFI link that @byukid  posted is a start.

Determine the price you wanna pay (budget), what sort of headphones (In-Ear, Over-Ear closed back Over Ear Open back) then choose one that sounds like your sorta profile and suits the music you listen to. Open back leak noise to your environment but are at the top of the game.

I find it kind of funny there's the conversation of whether or not Beats are worth the money, in a forum dedicated to people wanting to pay 200 for Lebron's shoes. People slam Beats and say they're only for athletes/celebs, etc. And yet we wait on pics of Lebron wearing his shoes, and look at Instagram to see which celebs picked up which shoes.

Not slamming those who are on either side of the argument, just find the parallels ironic.
