TERMINATOR THREAD - T2 turns 30 July 3

Hated Jurassic world.

Loved terminator tho

I dont like Jai Courtney either

I kind of question Jai Courtney being Reese too. Emilia Clarke seemed fitting since she could sort of pass as Linda Hamilton but Jai being Reese seemed off. Reese was way crazier in Terminator 1, like he had post traumatic syndrome.

I am still surprised though. Given it wasn't the best movie ever, I didn't think it would get the reviews it's getting. I saw Inside Out and thought it wasn't nearly as good as other Pixar movies and yet it got great reviews.

Of the two, Courtney had the better performance though. Clark was just ***. :smh:

Lol at y'all clowning Reese, how are you gonna react when the person you expect to need the most help is more prepared for the future than you and has a terminator on her side. Not to mention finding out halfway through the movie you're gonna die in a couple days.

khaleesi was looking .

had the 8) on when i realized she was gonna hop in that time traveling device.

Seen it on friday night. Theater was only about 25% full. Liked the movie to much explaining on the timeline. Thought it be more battle, chase scenes etc. Liked the whole back to 84 scenes. Yet both terminators gone in the first 20min. But you always going to compare the characters to the OGs no matter what. Not t1 or t2 level. Think i disliked the most i had a problem with johns face idk if it was the scars even after he cleaned up. or facial expressions, teeth. Guy just bothered me lol.
my thoughts exactly. sarah was the only one that looked close to who they should be

^Why do the new actors have to look like the old ones?

Anyway, I finally peeped the movie tonight. Movie was very enjoyable and I don't think it deserves its bad rep. Definitely worthy of a sequel to me. The movie was way, way better than Salvation and T3.

I definitely want to know who it was that sent 'Pops' back in time.

umm because they're supposed to be same character?

Just saw this movie. Loved it. Growing up the terminator was my favorite movie and I used to live at the arcade game. I watched all 4 last night leading up to this one. Crazy movie! It's insane to know that the war isn't over yet. Even after all that !

The war is pretty much over...not because of any story machinations but because nobody wants to see Terminator anymore :frown:

Actors change within films all the time. We've had like 4 different people playing as John Connor before this film. Getting caught up on appearance is silly.

Not caught up. Just saying the same way they tried to have both sarah connors LOOK the same could have been done with kyle for consistency's sake. Same with john. The point is how the actors look for the character not the actors themselves. The kyle from this movie is like even a totally different build the character he supposed to be

Oh yeah. These guys could all totally be the same person. :rolleyes The only mildly consistent thing about Future John has been the facial scar. (Only consistent thing about the Dyson's is the actors all being black. And the only consistency between Sarah was her hair in my opinion)

Then throw in the fact that this entire series is about the space time continuum being disrupted/outright changed, which has led to numerous alternatie realities along the way and I really don't see any issue about appearances changing. By its very nature this is one of the few series where i'd think there wouldn't be a big deal about that at all.

I wonder if they tried to get the same actor to play john connor after rise of the machines or the new guy cast just kept refusing after each movie sucked.

Dont know if you're agreeing with me (first paragraph) or not (second one). Eitherway i couldn't care less about john connor as we've already been exposed to the inconsistencies but the reese that is sent back in this movie is supposed to be the same one in the original movie. Understandable that you cant get the same actor but there are no similarities in the appearance of these two. At the end of the day who cares but for consistency's sake if you're gonna use a relatively unkown actor anyways might as well go with someone who looks like the actor he's replacing. Ie jlaw being a younger rebbecca stamos in first class

Saw it Saturday... wasn't bad, but can't hold a candle to T1 or T2.

Also, wondering who sent Arnold back in time to when Sarah was 9 years old.

Wonder if they're going to make a sequel to this one.

Didn't you guys say James Cameron gets the rights to the Terminator franchise back in 2017?

That's pretty much it summed up as far as i'm concerned. The visual depictions of the characters have never been consistent, unless it was the same actor appearing again. The most they'll do afterwards with different actors is keep the race and hair colors the same, so I just don't see any reason to judge any of the films on that, much less the fourth sequel in the line.

I feel u. I just feel they could've done better with that

Yes man, this movie made my think a bit....

I want to see a follow up to this!

Too many possibilities with time travel

And the AI is still self aware and it's nucleus is still intact but just not connected to a network.....somehow the blast didn't take it out. Or it was smart enough to copy itself.
