OFFICIAL 2014 FANTASY FOOTBALL THREAD

drop eli as my backup for jake locker? starting qb is russ so i'd use eli week 4 against the skins. locker plays the colts week 4... :nerd:

No question man. Eli should be on every 12 man league's waivers at this point.

I've thought about dropping Romo for Locker...

What other QB's are on waivers bro? Eli really isn't anything you should feel compelled to hold on to...

One team had to drop Mike Wallace as they violated the WR cap. Should I use my wavier priority on him and drop Ridley? Thinking about Wallace or Terrance West. Ridley is going to drive me crazy under BB.

Standard league 6 points ptds

Aaron Rodgers for AP and Brandon Cooks

I give up Arod but I have Dalton on the bench.
No, you need a top-tier QB in 6-point pass TD leagues. Rodgers is going to sling 35-40 passing TD, the Seattle game was an anomaly. As is true of most elite QB's against the Seahawks' secondary.

Thanks for the help everybody. How bout...

Bennett for Vereen?
Receiver of Vereen is the winner, even in standard. Ridley was ineffective and White was deemed inactive. Vereen's significant worth is a matter of health.

I'm having the same question with forsett. my rb2 is shonn green :x so I'm thinking of $15-20. I rarely pick up popular people off the wire though so I don't know what's reasonable.
I wouldn't overvalue Forsett, even with the Rice situation. I know he had a few solid years in Seattle, but he's more a change-of-pace back. Pierce's ceiling is better despite a rusty, underwhelming W1. He's 23 with a future as a lead back, with ripe opportunity in Baltimore.

I just dropped Rice in one of my leagues then realized I had him in 3 more
Struggle is real. I own Rice as a RB3 in virtually every league, NT or otherwise.

Im thinking of pulling a trade where i get spiller and give up mike evans

My other WRs are dez, DT and Maclin. Ppr league. 12 teams.

My rbs are weak - bush, ellington, pierce.
Deal. Keeper league? Only reason to hesitate about moving Evans so quickly, easily. Spiller is insurance for Ellington's smaller frame as a RB2, at worst a Flex play/option.

I think I'm rolling with the Packers D/ST coming off 10 days of rest at home vs the Jets. I just don't see Gino getting it done this week.
What are the other DEF options?

Aight fellas...my turn to get some help...need some opinions...

This week...(bolded positions are ones I am unsure on)

Cutler
Forte
R Jennings/D Sproles
Jeffery
Cobb
Graham
Maclin/Cooks/Sproles/Jennings

Thoughts/opinions?
Arizona had the best run D in the league last season. Yes, I know Dockett, Dansby, and Washington are out or gone but the Cardinals still play serious defense as exhibited by the opening San Diego game. Jennings was ineffective against Detroit, less than 3 YPC. Although he did see pleasantly surprising catches in the pass game.

Sproles saw 15 touches in the opener against J-Ville. Indy's defense is food, 26th in run D last year. He's the play.

I'm playing Mac9 over Cooks. Cleveland's pass defense is no joke, and Cooks is a rookie despite elusiveness and running good routes. Indy's secondary is liable to be carved up even though Foles is no Peyton. Without D-Jax, health is the only question impeding Maclin's status as a WR2.

Im also thinking of making a smaller trade of terrance west for nicks. (Getting west). It might be too early for a evans/spiller trade. Dont want to overreact early.

I think Justin Hunter has a breakout game vs. the Cowboys. Titans are clearly trying to get him involved.
Who do you think will pay larger dividends in the long run, Lamar Miller or Justin Forsett?

In the long run I honestly think it's hard to say between those RBs

Moreno stepped up and had a great week 1. But the Dolphins continue to say that they will still keep using Miller.

Forsett I think the Ravens will go with who has the hotter hand that week. Pierce has been there for 3 years now he's still going to get his opportunity to prove he's a starting RB.

What do you guys think about Larry Fitz?

Should i trust him to bounce back next week or roll with Kelvin Benjamin or Julian Edelman
I would give Fitz the start. His career body of work is enough equity for another week. Palmer should target him more than 4 times. Although KB had a great debut and Minny's pass D is ripe for the picking for Edelman.
yea probably gonna roll with Edelman. He was solid last year and he's started right back where he left off

Need more opinions...should I drop Boykin for Kelce since I need a tight end? He's basically the 4th option on the Packers offense and I already have Antonio Brown, Cordarrelle, Gordon, Mike Evans and Floyd. I have Khiry and Devonta on my bench but I'd like to keep them for some handcuffs at the moment behind McCoy, Gio, Vereen and Cunningham.

tbh there's probably a lot of productive WR's on the waiver wire right? Definitely can afford to cut Boykin if you don't have a strong TE

The WR corps you already have is fine it's not going to miss Boykin

Dropped Sammy Watkins and Kenny Stills for Eric Decker and Josh Gordon... Hopefully they reinstate him.

its because they didnt even have a vote..
As a Gordon stasher, I have close to zero expectation. It's a nice bonus if he comes back but there are so many hoops to jump through before he will actually be a viable starter.

I wouldn't sweat Larry Fitzgerald. He'll get his but people need to temper their expectations on him. He's no longer a bonafide week-in week-out Top 5 guy fantasy wise. Some days he'll get his, some days Floyd will get his...

I prefer Benjamin to White just because of upside. Benjamin looks like a Plaxico and is the #1 option. His stiffest competition is Olsen.

i'd play benjamin. like his chances of tds the most. and also like his chances of more yards than anyone besides maybe g. tate

Any Jason Witten owners?

Wondering if I should keep rocking with dude or bench him and pick up Dwayne Allen or Delanie Walker

His Gore for my Trent?

I feel like Trent really isn't this bad. Maybe he needed time to get acclimated to the colts system?

Pick one (RB2):
CJ Spiller
Mark Ingram
Chris Ivory

Pick one (TE):
Kyle Rudolph
Antonio Gates
