OFFICIAL 2014 FANTASY FOOTBALL THREAD

Yeah def. a big ups to Champ, he's the only one that regularly responds to my dumb advice questions

Since Victor Cruz plays PP this week, who should I start at FLEX?

Standard ESPN scoring

Torrey Smith vs. PIT

Lamar Miller @ BUF

Terrance Williams @ TEN

Terrance West vs. NO

Leaning towards West right now with Tate out. Thoughts?

[thread="595709"]Thinking about starting joique bell over doug martin.  am i crazy?[/thread]

It's my understanding that Douggie could be facing some injury time. At this point, I'd even start Rainey over him. Go for it.

West in a shared outfield may be your best bet. Although those are all ball or bust players as well. I think Miller gets phased out at a lager degree starting this week. And Smith and Williams are yo-yos.

New reports from Rapport on twitter mention that if deal is passed, only players suspended in 2014 are a shoe-in for review. And Gordon was suspended in 2013 so it gets trickier. :x

Didn't they just hand down his suspension a few weeks ago though?
Exactly what I was going to post.

Champ, thank you for your activity in this thread. I wish I could see how many leagues your input has helped win in the past couple years. :nthat:
My pleasure, hope everyone wins their leagues that I'm not involved in. I'm honestly better from a marco-lens than the micro-perspective. More of a big picture guy than week-to-week.

Def owe champcruthik champcruthik a few beers if we meet up for Iggles / Texans.

My concern with Cam + KB connection is Cams ribs + panthers shakey Oline + lions Dline of Suh / Fairley / Ziggy
Start D-Jax. Valid concern, Lions' front four were getting after it against NYG. Granted Detroit is at Carolina, but the Panthers' offensive line is far from invincible post-Gross.

You know I'm down for brews. Thinking Sunday Funday in Hoboken this weekend.

What do you guys think about Mark Ingram's potential this year? He had a really nice W1, but the rb's in NOLA haven't been anything to write home about the last few seasons iirc. Is a high end rb2 too high?
He's 24, more a low-end RB2. Better Flex option. Payton utilizes RBBC, so Robinson, Thomas, and Cadet are eating off the same plate as Ingram. Although Ingram is probably the hardest runner, and should get the bulk of normal carries.

Convinced me on the Bucs D

Thanks dude
No problem, man.

No such thing as dumb questions. Can't be afraid to ask in any platform.

Not crazy at all. Dougie suffered a minor leg injury. STL is stout against the run, and Tedford likes RBBC. Your hope is Bell influences the pass game because yards on the ground hard to come by against Carolina.

New Orleans was 19th worst against the run last year. My concern is Crowell taking goal-line carries and TD. Torrey had 9/154/1 in two games against Pittsburgh last season. Miller could be productive as a change-of-pace guy, but it seems Moreno is the man until further notice. Tennessee was already good against the pass last year, and now they have Horty as DC.

I'd sit Miller and Williams. Torrey is the safe play, he's been productive in years past. West is the upside play, could be feast-or-famine if Cleveland goes down and chases a lead.

champcruthik champcruthik How do you feel about Buffalo's Defense over Cincy this week?
I prefer Cincy W2, even without Zim and they did get gashed for 420 yards W1. Which was tied with J-Ville for 27th worst in the league. Don't think Bills will bottle up Moreno, then Lazor mixes in play-action with Tanny deep to Wallace.

Every 2014 league year suspension will be reviewed, if deal is approved. Josh Gordon failed his drug test in 2013, so wait and see on him.

I misspoke. he FAILED the test in 2013.

Allow me to vent:

QB: Romo
RB: Alfred Morris, Andre Ellington, Shane Vereen, Ryan Mathews, Justin Forsett (had R. Rice)
WR: AJ Green, Pierre Garcon, Roddy White, Cordarrelle Patterson, Brandin Cooks
TE: Kyle Rudolph, Dwayne Allen

So frustrating with sooo many players in that WR2/RB2/FLEX position....I've literally flip flopped my lineup a dozen times for week 2.

Trying to clear up my bench with a trade for Gio Bernard (wish me luck).

J. Locker vs DAL
T. Brady vs Min.

Im leaning towards Locker especially against Dallas defense.
