OFFICIAL 2014 FANTASY FOOTBALL THREAD

Any of you use Fantasy Pros?

I did their promo for their upgraded draft wizard/ mock simulator thru draftkings and the draft sim is GREAT for keeper leagues.

You can plug in your keepers and everyone elses and it will sim the draft with available players.

@ChampCruThik
I just got lucky and took Forte and DT fell to me at 7 and my team is stacked. :x  I'll post it up in a min.

Did you put a $10 deposit down for Draft Kings in order to get access to the keeper draft?

Stacked at RB1 and RB2. Perhaps the best fantasy player in the game in Shady, Stacy is a top-10 back in own right. Matty Ice and Cameron very solid starters. I just worry about WR2, Percy carries immense injury risk. Could package Harvin and Ryan Mathews. Seeing as I personally believe Boykin and Dobson are good enough to man the Flex position for a duration of a fantasy season.

Yup you get the fantasypros features free with the $10+ deposit on draftkings. I usually do Fanduel but regardless I'll be using the 10 I put in draft kings until its gone or I cash out... Worth it.

I took lacy over shady in a mock earlier..I feel great :pimp:

Lacy going to put up monster stats this years and i dont eem care

I respect your courage and willingness to follow intuition, but Lacy may not be a top-5 back depending how you rate Forte and Beast Mode. Shady is consensus top-3 if not higher.

I know. I'm just not that high on shady this season for some reason.

Took forte before peterson last year and that worked out. Feel same about lacy in that packers offense this year. He had 11 TD's last season in 14 games and Rodgers hurt for a nice portion. Could see him doing 1,400+ and 16 TD's this year.

Been doing a lot of 10 team mock drafts...

Figured out (IMO) the best spot to pick is 3rd or 4th...get one of the top four RBs..then get one of the top WRs at 17 or 18...

Worst spot is 6th...questionable who you go with...Lynch? Megatron? Graham? Lacy?

At 6, I'd probably go with Calvin. Should've done that last year when I had the 6th pick, but took Spiller instead

&& Charles went right after at 7...

Graham's a beast, obviously, but I just can't see myself giving a 1st rounder to a TE; just feel like it would throw the building of my team off. But, on the other hand, watching the waiver wire closely && making those key acquisitions during the year could def. alleviate that.

What's the best site, in you guys' opinions, for practice mocks? Wanna start doing some so I don't go into my drafts with no feel for how they might play out this year.

Of course it depends largely on league settings. I'd rank it: Lacy, Megatron, Beast Mode, Jimmy.

Nice, feel like you got Ball late relative to other drafts. He's supposed to be a top-10 back in '14. Jordy Nelson with 30 TD the last 3 seasons. Welker a reliable pass-catcher, more so in PPR formats obviously. Ellington in your Flex reduces the risk significantly compared to slotting him at RB2. Ertz may supplant Rudolph as your regular TE starter. I'm an Eagles fan and Ertz came on strong end of '13. Wright and Hill are solid depth, potential sleeper selections. Colston only dropped 3 of 87 catchable balls in '13.

#2 took Forte so hey..we both know something [emoji]128524[/emoji]
Honestly, nothing wrong with going against the grain in life. As long as you accept the risk and realize it's the unconventional route.

I just want to enjoy the rush of after the season I can tell everyone else "See!" and they stare in disbelief at Lacys stats. Dat feel :pimp:

Olsen's received well over 100 targets in each of the last two seasons. Should nab 70 balls with 5-6 TD.
Huge believer in Luck. You already have good depth at RB/WR, but I might have passed on Ryan and opted for a lesser QB2 to plug-in Week 10 for Luck's bye.
Assuming you don't know your pick yet. If you don't keep Shady and opt for Graham, your RB1 pool in the first-round is: Shady (only if you get top selection), Morris, Ball, Bell, Foster, Gio. If you had a shot at Lacy meaning the owner keeps Megatron instead, I might consider risking a keeper on Jimmy over Shady. But you really can't when looking at the diluted RB1 pool.
I have it ranked Beast Mode, DT, Jimmy. This year is filled with a lot of feast-or-famine type RB's. After Shady, Charles, AP, Forte, Lacy, Lynch...there's really no sure things. Most of us taking fliers on Spiller and Ellington without any guarantee of success.
What round did you select Matty Ice to back-up Luck?

Your receiving corps is stacked. I mean, Roddy in the slot? Come on, and to go with DT and Julio to boot. That's three top-20 receivers. However, do not like or trust Toby as a consistent RB2. West will be your RB2 six weeks into the season, IMO. Love, love, love the Boykin selection. He has 1,000-yard potential with the emphasis on Jordy and Cobb. Miller a sneaky pick. Can be a plug-and-play Flex on inopportune bye weeks.
yeah I thought of that too but I was already stacked at wr. It was either a back up at qb or tell for me. Or reach for a defense.i dk we will see how it goes. Ill post my other team in a ten man league. Not ecstatic about team but it'll do.

you can win from any spot. nothing wrong going megatron , gio bernard , gronk.  fitz , stafford  i would take that in a 12 or 14 team league. looking at mock drafts this is very possible. late rounds take shots on guys like boykin , devonta freeman , terrence west , james white , mike evans.  if you dont come in first does it matter if you come in 3erd , 6th , last.  i play to win and nothing else and if i dont then i could care less 2nd or last.

My plan (if I end up getting the 6th pick) would hopefully be...Megatron, Dez, Gio, Gronk, Luck. Just did a mock and this all happened but I got Ball instead of Gio.

Tried going with Graham at #8...did not like the results, esp. at RB :x :x

Here's the one thing I will caution all of you in here.

These "plans" you're coming up with, that you hope "go accordingly" 100% will not happen. So don't focus on your plan, focus on value and players you are targeting. Have 2-4 options at all times.

The last thing you want is to have a "plan" have it go wrong 2 picks before it's your turn and leave you scrambling. And when you scamble with 45 seconds to pick you're going to screw up often.

Just my 2 cents.
