Jordan Brand will be remastering (building better quality shoes) starting in 2015

Did they ever confirm what next years price is? Or are they waiting till next year. I remember the last time they went for a $20 price increase.
Not yet... but I truely believe after the route Foams have gone they are gonna push past those prices because they are Jordans! Just look at the Celebration Pack... $250 each! The shoes are kinda tight but $250 for some 6s???????? WTF??? Why? The ring lace locks? Patent Leather? Brown cigar-like material? What makes them worth $250? Infared 23 6s $225? Why tho?

^Those shoes were ugly as ****. They even sat by my fam in England. I need to find a way to ship in bulk at an affordable prices. I would not feel bad charging that price to anyone dumb enough to pay.

The infrared 23s were 225? :x

If thats the case I guarantee 225 is what they are charging next year.

Thats what I'm saying... but we have people in the world that are ok with this SMDH! I am pretty sure those "30th Anniversary" releases will be $250 or better!

I feel y'all on the complaining about prices. I really do. But for those of us that are getting money it just doesn't really matter. Just give me a proper retro.

Whatever the reason for the price hike, people just don't like paying more for something. No matter what the product is, if prices rise people will complain.
Myself included.

Playing us for idiots only pisses me off more. Just realized that the Jordan IVs and ATC IIs debuted on the same year. The IVs are 170 and the ATCIIs are 120. The Grand Slam edition of the ATCIIs uses the best material I have seen on ANY nike since the early 00s and they 140. I bet the remastered version going for 200-250 next year won't be nearly as good.

So wtf Nike? Inflation only affects Js? Price hikes on the materials also only affects Js? **** outta here.

What really gets me is how fast jordans sell out, most of their retros dont even stay in stores 1 day. Think about it like this - if nike makes 50,000 pairs of a certain shoe(dont know if that is completly accurate) and they sell each pair for $170(the current msrp) that is almost 9 million dollars. If they release about 30 pairs of js each year, that is over $250000000! The shoe only costs $10 in materals and $5 in labor. So my point is, they are already making so much money it is unreal. And they really need to bump up the price another $30? I know im not going to be paying that much for cheaply made garbage. Atleast in the 90s, you actually got a quality product made out of real leather for the price. The retros nowadays dont even compare as far as quality. These "better quality retros" are just a smokescreen to justify the price increse.

Its more than 50k per shoe. JB is doing 2 bill a year in sales. 600M for lebrons. cant remember the figure for KD and Kobe. Also those numbers are about 3 years old

Especially if it is a below average product! I've seen varients that look better than the real deal!!!

I'm not sure I care what Jordan's reasoning is but those 10's are one of my favorite non-OG looking retros I have seen. Just something that when I saw the picture I had to have. Nothing really has caught my eye this year. Bought the infrared 6's and the quality wasn't what I wanted so I took them back. Got some Bel Airs from last year and am looking for the Fear pack, may get the Columbias if they tickle my fancy, other than that I am waiting for 2015

Getting money aint the point...can I afford it? yeah.  Do I want to?? Not really.

Yeah I feel that. It's just that the shoes have gotten SO horrific that I'll pay 2 retail IF they come correct. Guess their rape strategy worked *kanye shrug*

everything it's overpriced today... so that's not the point for me, jordans are anyway CHEAP shoes and 200$ it's an affordable price, it just isnt written anywhere that every single human must buy them! they do business not charity, if u expect them to sell J's for 100 because you want them and they spend 10 bucks to built you have a distorted vision of how world turns around...

In English please!

Really? Your comparing gas prices to shoe prices? The things you named are necessities in life and the prices DID NOT increase 50-100 dollars! Lmao @ everybody attempting to justify these outrageous prices for the cardboard Jordan's that have released over the past 7 years and in the future!
I highly suggest you read up on what inflation is.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inflation

not just because of this discussion, but its an important principle in economics/finance to know

gas prices went from .87 cents a gallon in 1999 to 3.50 cents a gallon in 2014.. in 15 years prices went up more then 300%!!!

in retrospect in 2014.. prices for jordans went up 50-100%

Guys its called INFLATION... nothing stays the same price over time.. NOTHING.. prices for EVERYTHING has gone up from 1999 to 2014, as well as salaries!

why would anyone expect prices to stay the same?

Ummmmm... No! But u go right on ahead and spend the equivalent of a monthly bill on a pair of Jordan's! It's not complaining... It's common sense!!!
then dont buy THEM!!!  no one cares if you buy a pair or not..  Jordan will price them however they want and its up to you to buy them..

for example Lebron elites are now 295.. as a consumer, I am not willing to pay this much for a pair of shoes so I will pass..

I understand labor laws and more scrutiny on foreign labor may have impacted cost to produce, but with the amount of synthesized materials that are in Jordans, the impact of that can't be significant enough to call for an approximate 80% increase in price (based on Jordan 3's being 110) for "like goods".

I suppose transportation also plays a role in the increased price, but I absolutely refuse to believe that it results in an increase in price by that much. I obviously could be wrong.

I certainly think the price increase is more related to Nike's stock price increase...
actually the reason for higher prices is more likely due to INFLATION.. a dollar 15 years ago is not worth as much as dollar is today..
