Those 5s look much better, the extra cement grey in the midsole made zero sense.

How can most of you even make a preference if the 2012s were the only 4s you've ever seen, owned and know.

Go out, hold, wear and experience a pair of 99s. Pictures do no justice.

I remember watching Do The Right Thing and then seeing the 2012 "tech grey" 4s. I was like wtf. That was when I truly appreciated the mold on the og's. Til this day that is why I didn't cop the 2012 retro and will never regret it. Og molds are so smooth looking and well executed.

Oh how I would love NA branding but I bought the "take down" models so I will have to wait until they warrant another pair. I see the gimmick and I duck. Nobody's fool. Get it right or don't release it. Losing love for the hobby...

I can understand the complaints about the shape, materials and quality of the pre remastered pairs. No one wants to buy an inferior product. The craftsmanship is in maintaining the quality regardless of if the original came out in 89, retro'd in 1999 and again in 2012.

The one thing I don't get is the whole "remastering" thing. Are we trying to achieve quality on par with the original releases? If so, that's not a remaster?

Now if it's like the horrible 1997 Star Wars re-release where they improved the special effects, sound, added new scenes that is a remaster. I'm just trying to figure out the angle besides raising the retail cost of the shoe and changing the box.

My sentiments exactly. Even though I was born in 93 DTRT is my favorite move and its because of dtrt that I fell in love with the 4s and when I saw the first official pics of the 4s in 2012 I was genuinely pissed beyond relief. S
 
All in due time.. Nike will hit us with "Remastered Remolded Nike Air Edition" for bout $350 in the next decade.. :lol: :smh:

I like the bulky style of shoes from the '80s and '90s, these shoes were originally made that way before they went mainstream with the sleeker design, I for one am for bringing back the old models/molds.
 
These pix were taken in the early 2000s. I've had them saved on my desktop for a long time. Mix of OGs and 99s. Brace yourselves, the 99s you see are fresh. Non are mine.
