modern men haircuts..

Anyone use a heat protectant spray for when you blowdry your hair? After watching slikhaar tv videos on youtube all the time I noticed they always sprayed something on the hair before using the dryer. They use kms california heat flex spray. Ordered some from amazon. It's also supposed to provide some hold in humidity, hope it works well with suavecito firme hold.
i was wondering about coppin that too. Lmk how it works for you.

Used some today. Gave a nice shine and gave some hold to my hair when I used the hair dryer and brushed my hair back. Put a little pomade after. My main purpose for using it was for the heat protection though.

Nice, might try it out. Thanks!

Why is that American Crew pomade so expensive

Just got one (3oz. Jar) for $17 after tax.
That's about $21 after tax here in Canada

And the jar wasn't even full. It only reaches the top of the jar on one edge.
Thought it'd be like a margarine container, where you get the swirl looking thing at the top, when you open up a new container.

You get what you pay for, American Crew is a great product. I've used the Paste & Fiber for years now.

Just started using the American Crew fiber.
So far so good.
I was using the Green Tree shaping cream before and I loved it. I just wanted to try something new

I've used Bumble & Bumble Sumotech for 5 years now and I recently bought some cheap Old Spice hair product and I think I'm officially making the switch to the cheaper Old Spice pomade. I'm not sure if it's the  Texas heat, but the Old Spice isn't melting in the heat and gives me better results

american crew is way overpriced for the little hold it provides. I've bought a lot of their products in the past, never again. Some Layrite or Suavecito and i'm good.

My barber uses American Crew and I quite like how it comes out. Never the same when I do it indoors myself though, but then I think my blow dryer is far ****ter.

Getting a hard line cut in was probably the worst decision I have ever made lol...still growing it out to this day smh

yep, that fake part is for suckers. think there's a few in this thread :nerd:

glad you are reforming though

After letting my hair grow out for a few months, I'm finally going to get some of it cut. Undecided on what to go with.

Probably going with this look (my hair is a little longer on the top):

I'm having a really hard time finding a good barber in the area though.

You got a full beard too?

Maybe look through yelp or someone suggested in another thread to look through ig with the hashtag #barberyourarea. If you have friends with nice haircuts, ask them too.

Yea I have a beard.

I did some looking today, but couldn't find anyone decent that had walk-ins. I'll probably continue growing it.

After reading dozens of reviews for Barbers from my area, I ended up going to SuperCuts.

I initially asked for an undercut, but the girl suggested I give a combover a try. Two on the sides blended to my uncut top.

I ended up liking it.

I thought girl was being nice because she wanted a nice tip, but she ended up giving me her phone number on the receipt.

I'll probably return in a few weeks.
