OFFICIAL HALO MASTER PATCH COLLECTION, VOL: sign up for a patch beta! No really....

Are those halo ce screen shots from the classic mode or remastered mode ?

Those pics are from the multiplayer of combat evolved. Its not going to have "anniversary graphics". The single player will look better, but the multi for CE and Halo 2 ( not anniversary 2) will look bad
This but that looks way better than CE Xbox or PC did. I'm happy with that TBH, same goes for however H2 Classic will look

So will the mp for halo 2 have the same maps just 2 different versions classic and hd ?

Nah, you're going to have old school Halo 2 with all the maps and then Halo 2 Anniversary which will only have 6 maps. Halo 2 anniversary is the Updated graphics version with some tweaks in it.
Does anyone know we are able to talk **** to other people in the pre game lobby? I use to love it in halo 2
It'll definitely be there for unranked. Ranked probably not.

theres essentially going to be 5 different MP games

Halo 1
Halo 2 OG
Halo 2 anniversary( Only 6 remastered maps)
Halo 3
Halo 4

All of them are 60fps/1080p

WARLOCK' IS THE FINAL HALO 2 REMAKE MAP FOR HALO: THE MASTER CHIEF COLLECTION – IGN FIRST
Now called "Warlord."

BY: RYAN MCCAFFREY
OCTOBER 6, 2014
Six Halo 2 multiplayer maps have been remade on a custom Xbox One engine for Halo: The Master Chief Collection, giving a modern look to six of Halo 2's best maps while still retaining that classic Halo 2 feel. The sixth and final of those maps is "Warlock" (now called "Warlord" in its Anniversary iteration), joining "Ascension" ("Zenith"), "Coagulation" ("Bloodline"), "Sanctuary" ("Shrine"), and "Zanzibar" ("Stonetown").

Above, original Halo 2 lead multiplayer designer Max Hoberman – whose current studio, Certain Affinity, is handling the multiplayer portion of MCC – walks us through "Warlord"'s creation process, detailing the decision to remake a map that was already a remake of a Halo 1 map and showing off some of the subtle tweaks and improvements made to the new version.
After you watch that, check out the video below for some straight up raw 1080p/60fps gameplay on "Warlord," as Team 343 wipes the floor with Team IGN (Alfredo Diaz, Brian Albert, Sean Finnegan, and me). Don't worry, we get them back on some of the other maps you'll see later this month..

All four bases have distinct colors now, that's a major change. They added a jump up also

Killing someone who's camo now has a medal. Sentinel beam kills have their own medal  . Taking it too far with the medals man.

Really wish hit markers and the nade indicators were not included but whatever, at least the crazy screen shake is gone.

HALO 2 ANNIVERSARY COAGULATION REVEALED
By: Rhys Weir | October 6th, 2014

In a recent article with VentureBeat, 343 Industries talked about their favorite maps across the entire Halo franchise. However, towards the end of the article, a picture of Coagulation now known as Bloodline in Halo 2 Anniversary was shown.

Halo 2 Anniversary Bloodline Coagulation

343 Industries have yet to reveal anything about Coagulation apart from the fact it will be included in Halo 2 Anniversary. For those who are unaware of what Coagulation is, it is a remake of the fan favorite map Blood Gulch from Halo: Combat Evolved.

Halo 2 Anniversary Coagulation Bloodline

Coagulation was previously revealed at RTX 2014 during a panel with 343 Industries and Certain Affinity and until today, we haven’t seen any news or footage from the updated version of the map. With IGN having exclusive coverage of Halo: The Master Chief Collection all month, hopefully it won’t be long before we start seeing gameplay from Bloodline.

Be sure to check out our other article on Warlock here and discuss this news on our forums.

343 also did too much to Warlock. They added so many easy jumps, and the walls have way too much texture on them, I'm sure banking nades off the walls will not be as effective as it once was. Hopefully you can go into Forge and take all those jumps out and bring it back close to what the map used to be.

Notes from today.
  • We asked and are awaiting confirmation on whether or not Master Chief Collection will support digital pre-ordering/pre-loading.Halo 3 and Halo 4 make use of the Xbox One controller's impulse triggers out of the box (we experienced it!), and Halo: CE and Halo 2 will have that functionality added in via a game update shortly after release.
  • The Scorpion tank still lives in the Coagulation Anniversary remake, but you have to turn it on in Forge (more on all of that later this month).
  • In classic Halo 2 multiplayer, the Ghost's fuel tank could be shot, causing the Ghost to explode. This is one little detail that didn't carry over to the Halo 2-emulating Xbox One engine that runs the six Anniversary maps.
  • It took a lot of work to make Halo 2 feel right. In fact, "We had to get Havok to recreate aspects of the original physics code used for Halo 2," 343 told us.
  • Halo: CE Anniversary's Kinect features are not supported in MCC.Halo: CE's version of Blood Gulch is the original Xbox version, not the Halo PC version that included the Banshee by default.
  • For those of you who like to start message board wars over such things, let's get this out of the way: Halo 2's campaign isn't quiiiiiiite 1080p. Due to running the original graphics engine and the Xbox One-ified Anniversary graphics engine simultaneously and the original Halo 2 audio engine and remastered Anniversary audio engine simultaneously, Halo 2's campaign does run at 60fps but, resolution-wise, clocks in at 1328x1080.
  • Here's an explanation from 343 executive producer Dan Ayoub: “During development we were really pleased with the way the engine and buffer allowed us to switch instantly between classic and Anniversary engines that are running simultaneously – however that, as you might expect, put a hit on resolution. The campaign of Halo 2: Anniversary looked fantastic at 720p with the level of detail and clarity it gave us, but like every other aspect of the game and tech, we wanted to push it further.  So in the last weeks of development, our teams were able to meet a stretch goal and the campaign of Halo 2: Anniversary now runs 60 fps at a crisp resolution of 1328x1080, which is a significant and meaningful boost in image quality we think fans are really going to appreciate. All of the other games across the entire package of The Master Chief Collection run 60 fps at 1920x1080 native.”

Man H3 looks vibrant, I hope they touched the netcode up, but they probably didnt.

LAN support is hinted at by ign, and H2C and CE game play vids next week.

Also the Warlock remake has no interactive element, it's the least they could do after they've basically ruined the map as it is.

Also the Hornet on Coag :x :x :x. It better not be the true Hornet or else that map is changed forever. I believe it's only there for Forge and won't be in MM off the bat though.

343 has confirmed to IGN that a medals system, which already exists in the most recent Halo games, has been added to this fall's upcoming Halo: The Master Chief Collection. However, for purists, the medal display can be turned off.

““New Medals have been added to both Halo: CE and Halo 2 for campaign and multiplayer,” 343 told us. “There are nearly 100 unique medals in both Halo: CE and Halo 2. We felt this addition would make the multiplayer experience feel more modern and give players more ways to track their progress and style. For players who want a classic experience, medal display can be turned off for Halo: CE and can be toggled between off, classic medals, and modern medals for Halo 2 Classic. Campaign medals are awarded for enemy and style kills as part of the unified campaign scoring system, which is a new variation of the systems in Halo 3, ODST, and Reach.”

Option to turn off medals? You know what that means; More stupid medals are coming.

I've seen enough of H2A multiplayer to know that they're adopting the H4 formula for it. I've played games where I've gotten double digit kills and haven't gotten a medal, but now? The only way I don't get a medal is if I don't shoot anybody. There's medals for rocket kills, sentinel beam kills, surviving while one shot, having someone die by a team mate while they were trying to kill you, it never ends.

Assist Sprees were like the only good addition theyve made since H3, you should be rewarded for shooting. Oh Snapshot in Halo 4 was cool too.

No way you have 100 ideas for good medals, case in point H4 medals.

They do give out medals for everything lol

So the only thing I wanted back (Shots Fired/ Shots Hit) stat is not going to be apart of the post game carnage? :rolleyes

Yeah its back for H2 and H2A. Hoping they take it a step further and track it for your lifetime, that would be nice. I'm hoping for some in depth stat tracking too where we dont really have to go to third party sites to get some good stuff.

R u sure its back cause I thought it was one universal ui where the post game will look the same no matter which game?

You're right, the person I asked didnt know what they were talking about

Either way I hope its back, that was such an under rated stat. Headshot percentage isnt enough

Couldn't find my GT I used for H3

Think I used a couple for H2 too

I cant even remember the tag I had for H2 but it wouldnt have even been worth posting, I didnt figure out what I was doing until I was deep into it, I'm sure the stats were terrible.

343 does really need to do a better job of stat tracking though, Bungie didnt put nearly enough effort into it.

I started counting the days once it hit 40.

Theater mode isnt going to make it into Halo 2 Anniversary

Saving Twitch streams will be there but thats nothing compared to a good theater mode. One of the best additions to Halo was that man, taught me so much about the way I play.
