Post purchases that have improved your life.

Pocketknife or a leatherman. SRS. I can't stress how many times I've used it for random tasks.

Didn't know something like this existed. Could you explain how this works? Can it really get in there like dental floss?[/quote]

Yes sir it can. Depending on the one you get, it has different pressure settings, and the water stream that comes out is strong enough to get between the teeth. Comes with 8 different tips to help clean braces, your tongue etc. My hygienist recommended it to me, but i still floss the regular way as well.

I won one... It doesn't do AS good as flossing...but if your like me and don't floss then this could be a life-saver. I need a bathroom space saving solution if I want to keep using this though. My counter top is TOO small for this thing

Someone school me on this Chromecast.

I purchased it but it has not improved my life (90% my fault since I live out the US and don't use it for stuff like Netflix). I basically thought that it would just mirror what's on my computer screen (replacing the need for a HDMI cable). My hdmi port on my comp sucks and signal gets lost so I thought this would be my fix.

However, I use it on ballstreams and it just is weaksauce and doesn't work well. I'd guess this is 90% fault of ballstreams though. I've used it a few times with a chrome tab and Ctrl+O for playing videos. For my .mkv files though it doesn't play through on the Chromecast.

Am I missing something about why this product is so awesome? I love the concept...but the reality of it has been pretty meh. Also, even when I cast youtube how do I know what quality level (720p etc) I am seeing?

Products I've bought that have improved my quality of life the past few years:

1. PRK eye surgery (similar to lasek). So amazing. Better than lasek. Cost me 5k but worth it 10x for the improvement in my quality of life. Wake up stress free without need for contacts, glasses, etc.

2. Comfy couch (underrated piece of furniture).

3. Glove liners (can usually rock these by themselves and have no need for big cumbersome gloves) in cold weather.

4. 100 asian squats (squat all the way to the ground) and 50 pushups a day (of course not bought). Fixed me better than new after an ACL tear (opted not to get surgery). Best knees/hips/ankles/back pain etc mobility I've ever had in my life. Hit me up for more info. I hate being one of those you gotta try this type dudes...but this is a serious gamechanger if you are the usual American with any sort of mobility pain or limitation. Got me feeling like Legolas in the stone stepping scene.

5. Rolling suitcase. Makes travel life so much easier + neck pillow.

Casting through a tab on chrome is kinda iffy.

Not sure if you're on Android but you can cast apps on your phone/tablet. Used in tandem with apps like showbox and allcast/localcast you can watch whatever you want.

As far as quality can't you just look at the your tv screen.

I was going to potst my Amazon Fire TV for that sole reason.

I download movies in 10 minutes and stream immediately using Allcast all from my phone. Didn't know you could cast apps, though. Might have to put my Chromecast back to use.

Side note: I requested BallStreams invite months ago and never got one.:frown:

Someone teach me.

Watching live streams on it is hard, but I've done it before. I mostly use it in conjunction with my phone or tablet (both android) to watch TV shows and movies.

You have to ability to change the settings if you use Chrome on your laptop. Also if you use chrome, you can download an extension called videostream which lets you cast video files from your computer

LOL - here's some links to get you familiar with this setup:

No joke....I feel like a Home Theater GURU w/this setup.  Watch Sports, TV shows, Movies (still in theater or bluray rips) all at my disposal.

thanks! Im about to pitch my wife on this when she wakes up

for me:
2 TB and 4 TB externals that are filled with TV shows, movies, music and games, pretty much all my media

jailbroken liquid cooled ps3 able to play roms of old systems on it, can play games from my aforementioned external hardrives

a whiteboard

a juicer
you can also do that with amazon fire stick it's only 40 bucks and works great

-This Macbook I'm typing on that I got back in 09. Didn't know laptops could ever last this long.
- G-pen
-Before the G-pen it was a Pax. Definitely paid for itself with the amount of tree it saved me. Then I sold it. Didn't need it as much after I mad the conversion to wax/g-penning. It gives me all the "vaping" I can handle

QFT gpen is a solid investment

+ Oral B electric Toothbrush. You will notice a difference not only in your mouth but in your arms, especially if you lift.  I cosign that waterpik too used one of those back in the day.

+ Thermal sheets for the winter months.

Bump to a very helpful topic.

Highly recommend all of the below:

1.) St Ives Apricot Scrub -- use this 2-3x a week; keeps skin buttery smooth

2.) Vitamix blender -- takes everything I throw in it and cleans up very easily (just a water rinse)

3.) Nalgene 4:nerd:z bottle -- lifetime warranty is a no brainer

4.) Humangear cap for the Nalgene bottle -- this cap is much better to drink from than the stock Nalgene cap

5.) Samsung SSD -- makes your computer much faster

6.) Tongue scraper -- gets rid of that stank breath

7.) Moco de gorila gel -- I like their stuff so much that I bought all the different types -- keeps my hair perfect all day
