Do you guys think this logo makes album covers look better?

I remember I accidently copped Illmatic clean version back in 96. To this day the unedited version sounds weird to me.

Never made that mistake again.

I remember when I head my first uncensored album. My homies mom was driving and his older brother left a Master P or c murder whatever in the tape player. She turned on the radio and all I heard was **** them other ****** cuz I'm down for my ******. I was like

Had to sneak mad albums in the house as a kid cuz of that sticker...

Moms use to be on some pure BS. I remember I was happy as hell Rage Against the Machine dropped battle of Los Angeles and there was no need for the sticker

I'd just dub tapes from friends to avoid the hassle of moms grilling me about the explicit sticker. Yes, TAPES.

I'll never forget when she first heard the stuff I listened to though. She left the crib but had to come back for something, but in the meantime I was in my room blasting "Doggy Dogg World" at full volume. Probably was creasing up my jeans with hella starch or something while jamming out and didn't hear her come in. She happened to hear Kurupt's "well if you give me 10 ******* then I'll **** all 10" verse. Maaaaan, I got the longest lecture.

I remember buying Big Pun's capitol punishment (censored) on accident

Returned it for the explicit version and even the booklet had extra images

That was the first CD i've ever bought with my own money (Mom gave me the money to buy it on my own) 2/23/99.. When I first got that CD, I didn't know what that sticker meant back then..lol. I even asked people what did that sticker means..LOL. I've always thought that sticker looks cool on album covers. It gives me that feel that I got an official copy..lol.

Wasn't there an album that had no cussing in it that was a total success? Why am I thinking Outkast. Or was it Tribe. I just remember buying an album and it didn't have the sticker and someone later told me it's cause there are no bad words on it.

It could have been Tribes first album or Digable Planets first album. Both were deemed 5 mics and if memory serves me right neither possessed the Parental Advisory sticker.

Hoverin around the tape player in 4th grade Listenin to the chronic as low as we could so the teacher couldn't hear the words. I'm pretty sure I copped G funk Era with the parental advisory way back at Walmart when they still sold them. Media play. Da brat funkdafied, doggystyle, man music ain't the same

Well mine do. SO **** him and **** you too.

My first album was a censored Country Grammar cd. :smh:

First uncensored albums I bought were BE and Late Registration.

Happened to me. Talked my aunt into grabbing Blueprint 1 at Wal-Mart. Was super geeked. Wasn't even out the store when I realized my mistake. Took it back immediately. Then the cashier gon try to lecture me on what I don't need to be listening to. Talmbout "you too young to be listening to that filth." Had me heated

the struggle & paranoia for me to have & listen to album's with that logo on them when i was younger without getting caught >: :smh:

I can think of two stories right off the top of my head.

I remember I used to get my solid snake on, and would sneak my mother's copy of The Chronic to my room, and listen to it on like the lowest volume...with the door closed. Just the intro of the album to a 7-8 year old kid was like

Second story is just  :smh:. I was in Target with my grandmother like right after The Black Album came out. I went to pick up a copy, and my Grandma hit me with "This is inappropriate :smh:". She then suggested what she thought was more appropriate for me to buy.....

The Cheetah Girls Soundtrack.

I left Target that day empty-handed and salty.
