2014 NBA Summer League (Orlando: July 5-11) & (Las Vegas: July 11-21)

also I still think Tyler is a much better prospect than Zach Lavine and one summer league game isn't going to sway me.

He played well in the last game anyways.

much better prospect? explain your reasoning on that. summer league but they went head to head all game and lavine clearly dominated ennis

I don't think Zach Lavine can be a primary ball handler/playmaker, I don't think he's a very good ball handler in traffic, or a good passer, to me has has to make a qunatum leap in those to become a starting caliber PG.

boom or bust, the level of risk is too great at pick 13 for my taste.

Tyler is an elite passer decision maker, and better shooter than he's show, and just a really smart heady player, I think its going to take him a bit to adjust to the speed, and figure out what moves work and what don't work on the NBA level but I think he'll figure it out.

I like Lavine. One has to wonder tho... what makes a guy like him a lottery pick and a guy like Tony Wroten a late 1st round pick?

In no way is Tyler Ennis an elite passer, he's a smart decision maker but I never saw elite passing or vision from it at all.

Nothing stopping him from being Andre Miller? You mean the guy who is 9th all-time in assissts in NBA history? Andre Miller was bigger and just so much better, that's offensive to how good Andre Miller was at Utah. Ennis was smart to leave when he did cause he was about to be Chris Thomas'd if he had stayed in college.

Aaron Craft out here running from the ball on offense and getting cooked on defense.

1. an Andre Miller type.
2. obviously I meant that as a ceiling.

Tyler Ennis was a second team all ACC as a 19 yo, Andre Miller was putting up 8 PPG in the WAC. at that age. They are pretty similar size, Andre was a little heavier when he came to the NBA but he was also 23.

OKB Canadian bias showing once more, Ennis looking very Alex Smith like and I like the guy.

I have him as a top 12-15 prospect, as the 4th best PG prospect in the draft. What exactly am I saying that is so crazy and "biased"?

and why would I change my evaluation of him based off one summer league game.

He's not an elite passer, a great decision maker maybe but you love to compare him to Marshall who was a better passer/had better vision coming in than he does.

^ Would you be surprised if Semaj has a better NBA career than Mr. No Rattle?

obviously I think Samaj stinks, you love him.

a matter of opinion, Kendall Marshall is slow as dog ****, couldn't shoot a lick in college and couldn't defend. He averaged 8 points per 40 minutes. he had no shake to his game what so ever.

Other than being beige past first PG's they aren't even that similar.

Plausible but Semaj is so far away in regards to his ballhandling, decision making and shooting right now, which is why he dropped from the 1st round noise that we heard at the beginning of the year. OKC's player development system puts him in a good spot, but Ennis is 100x more safe.

And for all the alleged "bias" I don't think I have lead anyone astray when It came to college performance.

All the guys I said would be good were good. I think I've been very very fair and reasonable.
