USPS package lost in transit

A guy that works at fed ex told me you say you didn't get your package and they'll send you another package. The company files a claim with FedEx and they handle it.
I just believe in karma so I feel guilty doing so and lying about it

doesnt work that way pal

some companies might send you a new package without issue

most others will file a claim with the carrier and a lot of times it will get denied. if it gets denied you get nothing.
Probably depends on the item and company. I'm sure most big companies will say f it and send another.
My buddy works for ups and he said it's similar there too. If they just leave it at the door, people can file claims. Most of the time they just leave it because they have a ******** of packages to drop off in a certain amount of time.

A lot of you guys don't know that about 85-90 percent of your packages are dropped off by Fedex or Ups at your local post office. Being that I am a carrier I can tell you none of these companies are better then the others. I pride myself on making sure everybody gets their packages because I have been ****** by all three, lol..
A lot of the workers are under stress because we have a time limit and being that we won the bid for Amazon packages, we are being flooded daily with the other two big carriers packages. Now sometimes things happen were carriers either mis scans or the equipment fails(really old, out dated scanners) to update the status of your package. Granted there are a lot of ******, old, bad attitude having carriers that simply give no dambs about your packages and that effects all people that work for USPS but the other individuals work hard to ensure you receive your items. Can't tell you how many packages I find misdelivered by Ups and FedEx on the daily but I go out of my to find the right house on the route so everybody is happy..
Pro-tips:
If you are sending high dollar amount purchases, get the "blue" insurance labels or signature confirmations because we have to get a signature and if we don't, that definately will get the carrier in massive amounts of trouble.
Also, supervisors could care less not only about the customer but also the carriers. The only true way to get action is to ask to speak to a postmaster. Trust nobody wants to deal with them and a fire will be lit under a lot of butts to find your package

How do we get in touch with the postmaster? :nerd:

Call your local office and talk to a branch manager first. Usually depending on how big your district is, there is one postmaster for every two to three post offices but they are doing cutbacks from the top, but a branch manager is like an interim "postmaster". Also call the 1-800 customer service number and complain. What happens is a form is printed out with your complaint and a supervisor/branch manager comes to talk to us in the morning. That process yields the next best result because they will badger us to no end until we find it. Also please factor in that they are hiring people for less pay( been a carrier for 7 years now and make decent change and more then new hires) now to do more work and have no idea of the route they are running. Being that we have a time limit and quota for pushing packages per day, a lot of stuff is returned to sender, etc because either the regular carrier wasnt there or that route doesn't have a regular and nobody gives a ****. Now I have subs that give zero dambs when they deliver my route and I back track all their work the next day in back to work. Believe me it's A LOT of politics that go on and there are a lot of people the give no dambs because the way we are treated on the daily not only by the public( obvious responses in here say a lot) but as the whole USPS organization is concerned , that's why I'm finishing my MBA to get off this sinking ship. But even with the negatives, there are people that really care about making sure you guys get your packages but as the saying goes" there are some bad apples" out there that do steal and destroy in all three delivery services. I'm really cool with a ups driver and the **** he tells me is hilarious but we are all one in the same it just depends on the persons work ethic and moral compass as to whether or not the job is done right.

More than likely the USPS worker stole your shoes, fam. That's the worst case scenario though
This happened.

The box just doesn't disappear.

i've had basically zero problems with USPS

except when I sent a package to DC

that place is sketchy as ****

sold some shoes through Ebay and shipped them with signature confirmation

dude contacts me and tells me to ship them on Friday so he gets them Monday

so I ship them Friday, but since he lives so close the package is expected to arrive Saturday

I tell him this thinking he'd be glad and he proceeds to flip **** on me saying "I told you I need the Monday!!! What's the tracking number???"

Monday rolls around and I contact him saying "I see the package is in DC, but you didn't sign for it. You can pick it up at the post office"

Days go by and I'm bugging because dude never hits me back up and the package was still never signed for so I'm thinking I'm about to get scammed somehow

I give it another week and still no word so I hit up the post office and ask them if they have the package. They tell me it's still there and I tell them to ship it back to me

Package comes back the next day with everything still intact and I haven't heard from the dude ever since the initial email... came away with $270 dollars AND my shoes back

That was you?

Whoa... Give me my 270 back.

Going through this situation now.

- Talked to USPS branch manager -- he said worst comes to worst, to call the postal police (?)

- Talked to USPS carrier and he specifically said he remembers delivering my package (described my building etc.) -- GPS coordinates check out

- Asked my neighbors in the building, no one picked it up (still suspect)

This is the first time this has happened using USPS. Now I'm just hoping for a refund from the seller.

I'm going through this right now... They delivered mine to the wrong address on the 25th of April .. They still haven't got my package back yet.. And the place they delivered it to was a business ... The crazy thing is mine went through that same capital heights post office.. **** USPS ! They are no help at all in these types of situations ..

I'm about to freaking lose it. Hat shows delivered today. Nobody at the house saw it. Redneck Confederate flag waving neighbors across the street. Then tried to call USPS and nearly blew an artery trying to get through to customer service. Going to the branch tomorrow.

Grr. Much love for NALC brethren.

Has a fed ex driver sign my name and leave the package on the doorstep once. Dude didn't even try wither he put it in print like a 5 year old signed it

Went through this 2 months ago and here's what I recommend (I never received my package):

1.) Ask them for GPS coordinates of where the packaged was scanned.

2.) Talk to the postmaster of your local USPS office. Tell them to contact the carrier who delivered the package.

3.) If all else fails, file an online claim. Or if you bought this from a store, tell them what's up.

Repped! I will go there early tomorrow. After trying to call and failing I did the one thing I do for next level info: niketalk.

Be sure to document everything (names of people you talked to at post office, case #, etc.).

It took me and the seller 3 months and 3 claims to receive the $50 insurance covered on packages. Reason why I ship with + request signature confirm on all my packages now ($3 extra).

Tyrone is knee deep stroking some skins right now wearing nothing but his USPS Uniform Polo and your Lebrons.
why does the suspected USPS theif have to be named Tyrone? Why didn't u call him Adam ?

Soo...heading to the police station soon.

Branch post office sent me to another branch. Postal supervisor told me gps showed it delivered to my front porch in front of the door. She was rude, so I took her name and asked for the postmaster.

Postmaster was way nicer but still useless. Repeated what I already heard and told me to assume it was stolen.

So, cops.

i hate USPS too!

looks like after reading a few posts I'm not the only one. They suck big time. I know that no shipping carrier is perfect, but percentage wise, USPS has the highest percentage of F-ups.

I rather ship it slower with FEDEX than USPS Priority just because I don't have to cross my fingers and hold my breath while the package is in transit.

USPS as a while needs to get revamped or something.. I cringe when I'm expecting a delivery from them too. Good luck to all who use USPS.

I don't think she did, unless that's the standard fake name she gives to all customers. I called back and someone with the same voice answered and identified herself as the same person.

... And I had the postmaster spell the first person's name for me when we talked. And Googled the postmaster's.

Delivery supervisor just called back. The carrier delivered it to the wrong house and she doesn't know which one.

I'm in a situation with fedex right now. Tracking number says delivered but nothing ever showed up on Friday, called them up and they started an investigation saying they would update me by today. Haven't heard from them yet, what should I expect? Or any advice on what to do next?

smh just today says package delivered for me,no where to be found.

they get u with that "deivered in/or at mailbox" bs so they cant be troubled
