This isn't the first time and it won't be the last that Hollywood whitewashes semi-historic people of color. The biggest weapon to combat the ignorance is to educate on the true historical context of these figures.

This movie with a minority cast would prob flop cause 1. Minorities wouldn't support it 2. White folks won't either
Bet this white washed adaptation will do well in the box office ....they love history they can relate too even with the inaccuracies (skin color)
They can't even accept Jesus as a man of color....common sense tells you he's one...what shade? Who knows but he ain't Heath ledger

Tyler Perry studios. I feel like cats scared to be about it. Man, we can do it all on our own. Equipment, casting (not limited to only blacks), locations, distribution, everything.
