New Cinemark Theater in Towson, MD first in U.S. to feature "Reserve Level" theaters

AMC has a dine-in theater out in Jersey. Never been, but I've been meaning to. The Verazzano Bridge toll though is such a buzzkill :smh: .

Interesting move by Cinemark, considering Towson has a poor past when it comes to sustaining movie theaters. Cordish Cos. must have cut Cinemark a sweet deal on their ground lease to make that type of commitment. Anyways, will probably check it out in the next couple of weeks.

Take a girl to this.

They've got one like this in Columbus, OH. You can hit a button on your seat and they'll come take food orders.

I went to Mill Run and that crap was horrible. Haven't been to the other one though.

Why was it horrible?

It's tolerable, always enjoy it when I go. It's no AMC but it gets the job done. The chipotle sliders and fried pickles are on point too.

that's dope.. i love how movie theatres have been re-invented the past few years.

i've been to 3 different dine in joints the past few years..varying degrees of luxury

plus every theatre should be remodeled to at least have reclinable seats

There is a movie theater around my way that does something similar, I thought it be cool but it was literally the worst idea EVERRRR...being interrupted to get an order, then interrupted again when it arrived, eating a full meal in complete darkness, etc etc...I'll just keep doing movies the old fashion way :pimp:

Those office max chairs, theater wasn't cleaned, the service light where I was sitting didn't work so I had to raise my hand like I was in elementary school. when I finally got my food it was ice cold. I was gonna complain but I was on a date and didn't wanna be that "disgruntled African American." Didn't help that I had to suffer through that Thor sequel.

The concept is interesting, but I can see this failing down the line.

Damb, sorry to hear that. It's a nice alternative to the dine-in theaters at the AMC at Easton when you don't feel like paying that much. I also mess with the Movies 10 in Hilliard, can't beat $4.50 a ticket. You just have to know when to go to avoid the middle school/high school crowds.

Ok so I went on Saturday to see Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Overall, it was a cool experience. Will probably be my go to theatre from now on but I won't always choose the "Reserve" theatre.

The theatre itself is nice. It's connected to a parking garage and they validate your parking ticket so it's only $2 for 4 hours. They have 3 floors (1st is just the ticket booth), escalators and elevators, an arcade, 1 big snack bar on the main theater floor and a "V.I.P." snack bar on the Reserve floor.

The Reserve snack bar had a pretty cool menu. Flatbread pizza, wings, sliders, sandwiches, burgers and some other stuff i cant remember. They also had a full bar and Starbucks drinks. There's also a dine in section on that floor and a lounge type area with leather chairs and end tables. Gives it a real chill vibe which i could see backfiring in the future because of the younger crowd.

The actual reserve theater was basically a normal theater with the top 4 back rows being the "VIP" seating. BIG leather seats with an attached swingin tray. Seats were very comfortable but didnt recline (or at least i didnt figure out how to do it). They really didnt need to tho cuz you had ample room. They brought the food you ordered at the bar to you and most of the orders were brought out during the previews so the movies wasnt interrupted. That section also had it's own entrance/exit.
