QB THREAD - 2x quarterbacky award winner: Lamar Jackson

LOL at the Brady and Dolphin pic.

As far as Romo goes, not all the blame can go to him but he doesnt help his own cause with the late in game INT's. The Denver game for instance, he simply outplayed Peyton, everything was going right for him (not the Dallas Defense though lol) and what does he do, try to hit a covered Escobar. I mean cmon man.

I try and want to see Romo succeed and he just doesnt help me trying to defend him when people say he sucks lol. He's the one who brought stability at the quarterback position. No more Mr. Coke Quincy Carter or Anthony Wright lol.

And as far as my boy Luck goes, hes the head of the class of the youngin's and as you people have witnessed, he can and will ball out.

But I will say this though. For that article to say not one sack was Luck's fault was ridiculous. lol Off the top of my head, a few of them in the Rams, Raiders, and Cardinals games he held onto the ball too long.

Cant wait for 2014 to start!

And 3 MVPs......2 SB appearances.......all decade team.

So a little more than just one season of things working out

I know what you are saying though

Barnwell's doing his trade value list again and here's the man of the hour:

32. Tony Romo, QB, Dallas

Oh, hi, 34-year-old version of Stafford. Romo rates ahead of Stafford because he’s a far better quarterback during the other three and a half quarters of the game, even if he seems to share some questionable tendencies later on. I’ve defended Romo as much as anyone, but it’s just so much fun to make Romo jokes! The masochistic side of me wants to see if Cowboys fans start chanting for Johnny Manziel, Brandon Weeden, or Dirk Nowitzki first this season. Oh, by the way, until the Cowboys restructure his deal again and push their cap problems even further into the future, Romo’s cap hit rises from $11.8 million this year to $27.8 million next year. That’s a serious problem, because they have to re-sign …

**** like this will drag me right back into arguing about Romo again

BTW, the guy they have to re-sign is Dez.

MVP's are year specific though. Not saying Romo could have been MVP in those same years if he was replaced with Favre, but what's funny is that I sincerely believe if people realized just how much Romo keeps Dallas competitive, he would be an MVP of sorts. If there's no Romo these last couple of years then I really feel like the Cowboy's are perennial bottom feeders.

I just see a lot of comparisons in the of their game. Gun slingin', backyard football quarterbacks. Great playmakers who take a lot of risks.

Nah man Romo ain't in Favres class

Favre is was the absolute best NFL quarterback for like 5 seasons....Has Romo even been a top 5 quarterback?

Nah during these years Brady, Peyton, Brees, Favre, Roethlisberger, Rodgers,Warner, Rivers have been better than him in different combinations

Never has had a definitive top 5 quarterback season

Is it possible?....Yes

But it hasn't came close to happening

And certainly not seasons like Favre had at his best (which you can say about most QBs)

first of all LUCK >>>>>>>>>>> matt ryan...

Big Ben not getting that extension till after 2014

While talks slowly started he still has 2 years and will get one final extension to finish in Pitt. Doesn't seem to be a concern for either party

It's kinda crazy to me that Ben has been to 3 Super Bowls and won 2 and yet I feel like he hardly if ever gets praise.

He has also continuously improved as the offense has put more on his shoulders year after year. I swear people still remember XL and think that was an accurate representation of his ability

That and people don't like him personally so his accomplishments are downplayed. It's fine, Pitt fans know how much success he has brought to the team and how important he is
