By this logic, a date is a predestined outing....? Here is the scenario you just outlined that I will illustrate to you with my real life.
"hey, want to go see this 2 hour info/docu-movie about Elizabeth-era clothes design followed by a 1 hour stitching seminar next wednesday...?" says my wife.
I reply, "no thanks."
My wife responds, "then I'm going to go with (male friend)."
"Knock yourselves out."
Vice versa when I go see GotG next thursday. It's a one-off. You have to value a couple hours to your self.
This isn't getting dolled up, going to the club, getting drunk and dancing/grinding on some dude and then going back to his place for a roll in the hay on a Wednesday night.
You guys just immediately go to the absolute worst case of any scenario presented.

I like going out with female friends to various places, so I can not cause a fit if my lady does the same. Maybe yall fine with your woman being the only female presence in your life but that is way too boring for me. If my girl told me I'm the only man she communicates with, I'd think the chick is lying straight to my face off top.
Now if you would never go somewhere with another chick other than your girl/wife then I could understand why you think this idea is crazy.

My wife would say the same thing as I have female friends that she never knew when I was growing up that I still kick it with. She has male friends she knows from growing up. They can hang out all they want. Sometimes they do. Like others said in this thread if all it took was a movie "date" to let another dude smash trust he was smashing wayyyyyy before they went on this movie "date". women are going to do what ever the hell they want. just like men are. just be respectable of the marriage is all i ask and thats all she asks. and a few of my home girls are bad!!! I cant front i think they are attractive but when we kick it thats not on my mind. i know dudes is thirsty for cheeks but its up to her to know where her marriage is. if this was a would you let your girl stay the night at the opposite sexs house then it would be no, but its a movie man. lol.
