Mad Max: Fury Road starring Tom Hardy

I think you did it wrong. You should have watched the first 3 and then saw this new one. If you went into this movie with 0 knowledge of the world and tone that was set forth in the previous 3 movies it makes sense that you would have those feelings.

The first 3 movies are essentially B movies. Fury road took it to the next level and really brought it up to the bar of modern film making and action.

Nah my bad, I should've clarified that I watched Fury Road this afternoon. I attempted to watch Mad Max last night but failed. Gave Road Warrior a shot this morning and from the hour or so that I saw it was iight, I just didn't feel compelled to finish watching. My boy who's a fan of the series told me Thunderome isn't a must watch.

That being said, Fury Road was cool, but if it's going pure car chase then I would've preferred it shorter. But again, I wouldn't mind a longer run time if that means the plot thickens.

Maybe my expectations were too high

Ah ok my bad as well. Honestly, I would just say to go watch the last 30 min of Mad Max and the last 30 min of The Road Warrior and see if you feel any different about what Fury Road was trying to do. Both of those sections are where everything happens. If you didn't get past the part where his wife and kid are killed in MM and didn't get to the actual chase across the desert in the Road Warrior then you pretty much missed the point of trying to watch either of those movies.

And yeah Beyond Thunderdome isn't essential but it does have the most "world building" of the three.

Saw it for the second time today. Still got goosebumps before the final act. The music, the wide/long shots (no shaky cam bs or quick cuts), the practical effects, all amazing. It has been a while since action was this good. The only other film this decade that comes to mind right away with breathtaking action is The Raid 2.

Thoroughly enjoyed this move. Exceeded expectations

surprised to not see any references to the guitar guy... son had me cracking up!!

Outside of the action scenes my fav scene is prolly when Max comes back and gives them the game plan. I was like hell yeah!!

Don't know what that guy is talking about.
Haven't seen one mad max movie and this film was AMAZING. Action was great. Don't need a dam back story.

No surprise the wives wanted to escape. That joe guy was nasty looking.

Didn't know Riley Keough (Elvis' granddaughter) was one of the wives.

Was reading on wiki that a script for the next movie was written already. I'm excited for it already just by the title.

Saw that too. Furiosa :pimp:

Did not get to watch Thunderdome prior to Fury Road but decided to give that a watch, even though people say it is the worst out of the OGs. I have to say the first 40 minutes of Thunderdome are fantastic with Max going up against Master Blaster. Then the children came in and it felt like a completely different film.

Zoe Kravitz nipples was the main character supported by Theron and Hardy  she was looking the best I've seen her and the rest of the wives were pretty gorgeous....looking like a VS catalog

The movie was great, very refreshing from what movies have become now, I gotta say I enjoyed it more than Age of Ultron for sure.

Man fthat r sure enjoyed it more then AOU and I really liked that film.

The guitar dude was the best. When he was sleep

This movie was definitely better than AoU. Though that doesnt surprise me. I knew it would be between the two. Glad they both came out early. Everything else coming out this summer is just bonus points if I happen to like it.

I'm in the middle of this Ex Machina movie. Didnt think it would be good but it is dope as **** so far.

Saw Fury Road yesterday

:wow:

Big fan of the OG Mad Max's.

This one was crazy.

Had my cheeks clinched and on the edge of my seat throughout the movie.

10/10

I know I've seen the og's but don't remember a damn thing from them, so I came into the theater with no clue on what his story was.

But anyway, this movie felt like an "experience" with the visuals/soundtrack of the movie and although I know it won't be for everyone, I highly enjoyed watching it.

Ex Machina was very good, acting was superb and it just makes me look forward to Oscar Isaac do Apocalypse.

Felt bad for the protagonist though...

major case of blue balls

In the end when Ava was changing skins and dude was just staring at her through the window just thinking he about to get some then BOOM GOODBYE
