Mad Max: Fury Road starring Tom Hardy

calibeebee, remember when max is first captured and I think they tattooed his blood type on his back. I think his type is O. I also wondered what that thing was on the shoulder of his jacket, I kept thinking it was some string or rope until he used it.

I am trying to think of the best action movies this decade, 2010-present, the only ones that come to mind are The Raid and The Raid 2 (especially this one with the variety of action scenes).

With so many generic action films these days,Transformers series etc, it is hard to think of some. You guys got any others that come to mind?

You answered your own question.

Modren action movies are generic cash grabs nowadays.

Yeah, think of all the crap the rock and jason statham put out. They do quantity or quality.

For non-stop action, there really aren't any in existence the past few years. Even the Raid/Raid 2 had some down times, especially the sequel where I just wanted them to stop the story and just get to the action. Similar to Ong-Bak where it is pretty much a whole film to show off Tony Jaas skills, I'd probably rank those Tony Jaa films up there in terms of action (not story of and visuals of course).

As for films that has good action films, I think the recent James Bond films and MI: Ghost Protocols have been pretty good. This film definitely ranks higher though when ti comes to action but those others weren't so bad, even some comic book films like Cap2:Winter Soldier or AoU.

Ledger in this would of stunk I can't see him as an action guy.

Hardy was good kinda channeled his character from lawless with his grunts

People were weary of Ledger playing Joker too though

I was not weary of ledger playing the joker but I still cant see him in this. But he was one of those types of actors who would lock themselves in a room and become the character instead of just playing the character so who knows.

The difference between Broke back mountain and TDK shows he had a relatively wide acting range

john wick was kinda fun too.. had a dope universe as well.

but other than that and the 2 you named action movies been *** the past 15 years.. it really has just been fast movies, + superhero + liam neeson.

just a bunch of mediocre movies in general.

this movie is a pantheon level movie.. deserves to be mentioned alongside The Matrix and T2

This ****..man.

I had a headache after walking out. Just because so much **** was going on for legit 2 full hours b  best movie I've seen in a awhile..best pure action movie I may have ever seen.

I don't think that's it's in the level of T2 just because the story was awesome and had many classic scenes

well T2 will probably always be my #1 action movie.

its one of the first theater experiences i remember as a kid and a top 2 theater experience ever along with jurassic park :pimp:

Thinking about going to see thus today...thoughts on 3D vs standard? I generally stay away from 3D unless it's really necessary.

Yeah, the 3d was pretty good. Wish there were 3d topless scenes of the wives though.
