To be fair he's 35 this year, and it's clear he can't keep up with top flight Prem footy week in week out.

No point in sticking around looking completely over the hill.

I am surprised however that he's not kept around as a bit-part player.

Also, gotta share that my son has scored 8 goals & has 4 assists in the last nine games... His play has been stellar. He's really learned to help keep possession, looks to set up the counter quickly, & make those overlapping runs...

It's been so fun watching him & his team play.




His team lost in the championship of an indoor tournament to a great team last Tuesday & the team is in another indoor tournament tomorrow. Wish us luck lads...

That pisses me off so much. I dont even know how the hell bringing in veteran players works anymore. The Fire got screwed out of getting Jermaine Jones a few months back. NY and LA just seemingly land every big name while the Chicago Fire have a munch of no names. We are the one of the charter franchises in MLS in the greatest city in the world. Pisses me off

Meh from what @chiva1908  was saying, it doesn't seem like Cubo is ever even gonna step foot in America again if he plays well in Guadalajara. 

At least, Herrara and Cubo did his bit in trying to push the MLS brand a bit during Cubo's signing....
