Cruyff  makes a good point. I mean ronaldo is non existent when he plays at the international level as of late. Dude is ghost at international tournaments and can't handle the pressure (EURO 2012 penalty fiasco

 and the 2014 WC) Anyone can look good when you're surrounded by good players who give you good passes and your club lets you take all the penalties to increase your goal tally

FIFA would be wise to factor in WC/confederation performance on the year the award is given out on the same calender year as a world cup/confederation tournament

Bruh he single handily got them into the WC. Did you watch that Sweden qualifier? It was amazing to watch in a sport that is so team oriented one guy was a single man counter attack. The knee issues in the WC really had him looking out of sorts but again...his team is buns and he basically had the weight of an entire country riding on his shoulders. The man has scored goals in the biggest games idk how you can say he wilts under pressure if anything i think he strives during big games.
