Who Am I? Im just a bored Gooner who wishes he was sitting at the clock end on Sunday against Middleborough.

I've never seen you in here. You can't just pop up in the thread with a Portuguese last name without introducing yourself first, bro. This is a secret society, what we ask is trust.

entendeu meu amigo?

Okay, good.

Lot's of Arsenal fans on here, you'll be welcome. But beware, we throw lots of jabs at Arsenal as well. Some can handle it, some cannot.

Just don't take it personal

I can take the Banter. If anyone is familiar with the NYC Soccer Bar scene. I used to go to Nevada Smiths & Legends  a lot. And I got soo much abuse from United and Chelsea Supporters there.  From the Arsenal Collapse in 2007 to the 8-2 etc. I have thick skin. All banter is welcome here

. You guys are seem much more sensible than the twitter lot I deal with.

Away to Paris is gonna be a tough challenge. I think we all see a defensive minded Chelsea team clogging up the apace out there.

I'm gonna say its a 1-0 win for Chelsea

I don't want to come off as cocky but I think this will be easier than we think. PSG isn't as strong as they were last year. We won't steamroll them but I think we can handle them with a middle ground level of difficulty.

Then again....Chelsea hasn't been playing on a convincing level as of late. We'll see but I am excited.

Kudos to Bayern. During their stay in Ukraine ahead of their CL match against Shakhtar, they saw a story of 30 children injured during the war there & will be paying their medical bills in full.

On the other end of the spectrum, is former Parma, AC Milan, Atletico Madrid and Italy coach Arrigo Sacchi saying -

I’m certainly not racist and my history as a coach demonstrates that … But look at the Viareggio [youth] tournament I would say that there are too many black players. Italy has no dignity, no pride. It should not be possible that our teams should have 15 foreign players in the squad.

He then tried to clarify his comments by saying -

I have been misrepresented, how could I be racist?

I just said I saw a game featuring a team who fielded four coloured boys. My history speaks for itself, I always coached teams with different colours and I bought many, both at Milan and at Madrid.

I just wanted to point out that we are losing our national pride and identity.

First Italian FA Chairman refers to black players as "banana eaters" prior to getting elected to his post last year (& still gets elected) & now this. There is too much racism in Italy. I remember visiting there in the early 90s & it was racist as **** then... Would never ever go back.

Italian football is absolutely dire, been on the decline for years. Juve is it's only saving grace. And it's down to things like racism that player don't want to go there.

Serie A was class in the 90s, it's a joke now.

Man, I wish I watch CFC game. It sucks to miss watching CFC game on weekly day. Costa returns today. Cesc could probably miss this game with the flu. Get better, Cesc! Mourinho confirmed Oscar still has a problem wtih his muscular injury.

David Luiz: I am worth more than £50m since move to PSG

 I can't believe we actually sold him for £50m. I really like Luiz. I hope we give him a warm round of applause on March 11. He was a big part of our team for the road to Munich in 2012.

Bayern has always come off as a classy organization from the way they run their business to the way they perform on the pitch :smokin

"losing our national pride" That type of rhetoric always gets me,guess he must've been real ashamed to be Italian when Balo helped them get to the Euro 2012 Finals  :rolleyes. I don't blame a lot of players for not wanting to play there anymore, I wouldn't want to play there as well when hearing ignorant crap like that from established coaches/owners etc :smh:. Damn shame too cause as Heggsy just mentioned,Serie A used to be great. I'd say up until the late naughts when Inter was arguably the best squad in the world.

Roy Hogdson made a comment just after the FA Cup draw saying something that the Prem was European football played on English pitches referring to foreign players. The English FA chairman has also made numerous xenophobic comments about foreign players in England too (as has Arsenal's smokey). It's hard to understand & believe in this day in age that this level of racism (not prejudice), the institutional aspect is still so prevalent.

Edit - Speaking of controversies, the LFP has identified a group of 200 Barca supporters (Almogavers supporters group) that were chanting that Ronnie was a drunk during the match against Levante Sunday... I hope they throw the book at these fools. I hate ignorance...

Those kinds of statements always just scream insecurity to me. They're insecure about the current state of their respective country's footballing ambitions so they decide to blame it on a scapegoat which in many cases always seems to be foreign players. The great irony in all of this is always that these leagues wouldn't even be half as popular without a lot of those exports .

Rolaholic is spot on. Can you imagine the premier league without top class players like Aguero, Costa, Hazard, Toure, Sanchez? it wouldn't be half as popular, especially amongst overseas supporters such as yourselves, being English, in an ideal world, yeah, I'd like to see more homegrown English talent amongst teams, but we put too much pressure on anyone who shows a slight bit of ability, Luke Shaw for 30m, why would anyone pay that when you can get a left back with just as much or even more quality abroad for a tenth of the price. I certainly want to see more English players, but stop putting premium prices on players that aren't that good.

If Leicester were without our foreigners we'd have been relegated at Christmas , not that we're far off now

Exactly,I highly doubt that we'd be seeing this upcoming record EPL TV deal thats gonna reward the last place team with more $ than the current UCL winners in an export free league .

You make another good point, the career growth of countless promising young Brits has been stunted by placing unrealistic expectations upon their shoulders.
