There isn't a better coach more suited for Madrid than Carlo. That's a shame... I'm not sure players like Ronnie will take to Klopp's in your face style.

Carlo said he's going to take a year off recovering from a back surgery he's going to undertake & will spend time between Canada & Madrid... Who knew he liked Canada!?!?!

Unai Emery is an excellent coach but I'm not sure he's a big enough name to suit Perez. It's a shame because Emery has done an excellent job with whatever resources he's been given to work with at Depo, Almeria, Valencia, Spartak Moscow, & now Sevilla. Look at the best he brought out in Bacca (among others)....

I liked Carlo thought he was well suited for Real's locker room

"The manager with the highest win % (75%) in the 113 year history of Real Madrid has been sacked."

Carlo's firing is such a knee jerk reaction. I think it's one the club will regret but I'm happy for the Blaugrana & the other Liga clubs.

I don't think Klopp is a good fit but I wonder if Conte would come to Spain? I could see him doing well at Madrid.

The only way I see Conte leaving is if Juve beats Barca. He has such a comfy and stable job compared to Real.

Real wants Pogba but does he want them? Most of the recent reports have him wanting to go to Barca :smh:

Valencia's prez says it's 50M Euro for Otamendi or nothing, that's a bargain if you ask me seeing as Luiz went for more

what does juve/barca have to do with Conte.. he left last summer for italy job

Nah Carlo isn't to blame for Illara. Dude never looked like he was built for this. Even while he was Xabi's "understudy." In an alternate universe where Cam'ron lived in Spain, he'd refer to Illara instead of Andre Miller when talking about basic game. Dude has literally nothing he's great at and should be in a 4th-7th place type team to be more confident and flourish. His confidence is down because he's around world class players who are levels above him and he'll never be as good as.

While talent was evident when he was young, he wasn't the typical Spanish prodigy that played lights out from an early age.

His break out season was the 13-14 campaign where he was the driving force in not only La Real's 4th place finish in Liga but also the Spain U21 team winning the U21 Euro championship. He was the catalyst for both club & country.

He was never going to be Xabi's replacement because the legendary Ginger was world class defensive playmaker who could defend. Illara is a speedy ball winner who passes the ball extremely well.

Illara is more Javi Martinez than Xabi Alonso. Does that make sense? He's very well versed in tiki taka which never really fit in Madrid's style.

I hope he gets moved to a club where he can play more regularly.

Was bored and was on the OG Ronaldo's wiki page and learned he was injured for ALOT of his playing career. Just crazy to imagine the numbers he would've put up if he was healthy.

big ronaldo was scary. literally had everything a striker needed.

How is it Carlo's fault that Illaramendi sucks, and has always sucked?

That's Perez fault for overpaying for another overrated Spanish player. I mean we see the Spanish and English do this all the time, they fall to in love with the thought of their own kind and end up overpaying.

Illaramendi has and never will be Madrid material, no matter how much he trains or what manager comes in. He's first on the list of players who should go first so they can free up space. This Perez reign is mirroring his first galactico run, some Trophy here and there but still underwhelming.
