Because he's starting to slow down in pace, he's turned to becoming a more efficient player. He cut out a lot of the tricks and take ons, and instead uses positioning and vision to beat his man.
But he isn't nearly as dangerous. He was basically nobody in the 2nd half. Bale had more chances then him.
It's like he's purely a finisher now and doesn't create
Yes, that's exactly where he's gravitating towards. He's 30 this year. He's not getting any faster. To continue to perform at the level he is, he's adapting to ensure he doesn't have a dip in form. If he gets it right, he can play in the top level for another 3-5 years. His adaptation is necessary...

to say that he's not as dangerous is simply a wild statement. Completely unfounded. Dude is scoring something like 50 goals a season for like 5 years straight. Please, enlighten me how that is not dangerous?
It really is crucial for him to adapt his game especially after he was plagued with those almost chronic knee issues last year so he really can't rely as much on his slowly diminishing athleticism.

He dissapears. I'm not saying he isn't dangerous but he's less dangerous. Him completely turning in to a Finisher is not what this team needed. All that meant was he was getting less touches and 0 attempts on goal.
There was absolutely no link up play.

And yall scoff cause he scored 50 again but zero trophies. He is staying consistent with his scoring but it's not help his team any in the long run.

I didn't see him once in the 2nd half. He did this against barca the last time they played too.

I think it's great how Real Madrid spent £195m on their front 3 and they get knocked out by an academy player that they didn't want.

I was rewatching the Barca vs Bayern game last night, and realized i am not a big fan of UCL english commentators. I usually watch UCL games on Fox Deportes with John Laguna and Christian Bozzo.
best commentators period, i only watch my CL matches in Spanish

That low center of gravity is a MF'er....like Tevez got magnets on his boots
but he's too short to play, bigger physical players will just intimidate him

What the hell?
Teves isn't afraid of anyone. Do you even watch football or are you being sarcastic?

You missed Truth-Serum's brilliant analysis yesterday about how shorter players get intimidated "physiologically" by bigger ones, while also claiming that short players like Shaqiri and Tevez are essential for winning games and ignoring that Barcelona has been winning trophies pretty consistently with mostly 5'6-5'9 players for the past decade. It just made no sense, which is why LouisLagerfeld is mocking him

Believe it or not. Players have off days, and sometimes disappear. This applies to even the greatest of players. However Ronaldo's 50+ goals a season shows that those odd days aren't often.

Ronaldo is extremely efficient, and he's exactly what Madrid needs. The issue is that Madrid also needs key players like Modric.

Looking at that you would think Madrid fans wouldn't be as spoiled as they are.
They believe they have a divine right to win everything they compete in because they spend stupid money, fair enough, I understand that, but that's not how football works.

Barca are the single best example of that, yeah they bought Neymar and Suarez recently but 75% of that squad is La Masia.

Also, to put into perspective, Hazard and Bale have equal stats this season, yet bale is having a bad season and Hazard his best ever? Good luck if Eden ends up at Real lol.

You sure that's what Real Madrid needs?

People are quick to forget that of those 7 years in La Liga that Madrid didn't perform, Barcelona had one of the greatest teams ever assembled who had all been playing with each other since they were like 10 years old.

I'm not hating on Madrid one bit, I just don't like the attitude of their fans at all.

Try supporting a team who's top goal scorer has 10 goals in a season

So many of them are so entitled yet they haven't accomplished as much as they should have with all that money spent .

I don't think Bale is a flop, far from it. From afar it seems he's suffering from a crisis of confidence that seems to be compounded by Madridistas & possibly inside the locker room if media reports are to be believed. Every player has peaks & valleys. Just ask Ronaldo. He's had plenty of valleys, especially that 2 year drought for Portugal. He'll be fine.

Juve should be given a lot of credit for limiting Madrid to scoring on a PK only at the Bernabeu. That's a pretty incredible feat if you ask me. I also thought Iker played pretty well. :rolleyes

I don't think Barca will roll over Juve. Their defense with Gigi playing behind them have been pretty stout. I'm a little surprised Tevez didn't score again. I think this CL final will be a dog fight really.

The big story line will be Hannibal facing Chiellini again. :nerd:

dear oh deere. Don't think it will be a total blow out at the final but the matchup will be told so one-sided. Got to hand it Juve though, damn near being the only italian representative the entire UCL campaign. Sucks that even if they do manage to win there will be no resurgence in the state of italian footy. I would put PSG in the same category if they got this far.

Do like how Pogba got some fire in his soul in the last minutes

Great game by Juve, glad they knocked out Madrid.
At first Pogba was not a factor most of the game until the end he showed a pulse.
I was so nervous thinking Bale would eventually score. Vidal played with so much heart out there.
Morata transfer really came back to hurt Madrid, scored in both games :x
I think and hope Barca wins it :smokin
