The way I look at it. Madrid's defence is not exactly a stellar model of defensive strength...however, Liverpool's backline is useless. Madrid on the other hand have a ridiculously strong attack, and Liverpool simply don't. The loss of SAS has clearly shown itself, and will continue to show itself in bigger matches.

I can't see how Liverpool could really turn on the heat against Madrid...

Liverpool is my estimation has three things going for them.

1) Sterling
2) Iker Casillas
3) Set Pieces

Besides that, Real will steamroll that back line. I'll def agree their. I say Real 4 - Liverpool 2

Keisuke Honda is quietly coming back to the form of his days at CSKA. I really like what inzaghi has done with the squad, hopefully he can get torres more involved but im sure his best days are far behind him.

I hope these rumors of Khedira coming to Milan are true, he is the player they need if the want to compete in Champions/ Europa league next season

I'm not sure how it is where you guys live, but I know a lot of better American athletes would get introduced to the sport where I am if it weren't a "Fall sport" and competing with football

It should be mandated that it's a Spring sport everywhere and the pool of players and talent will grow.
did dis dude just say dis?

I know in Long Island at least that a lot of the top athletes here would give it a go and maybe fall in love with the game and eventually drop football altogether if it weren't competing with Football in the Fall for high school teams.

Football players here get ******* b, not soccer players.

Where in LI are you from?
With the Boca Jr academy out here, I'm hoping more camps and schools open up.

My bad for the late response, but im in a smallish town in the west part of south shore Nassau. You?

I'm not too familiar with south shore Nassau but I live near Westbury, I'm pretty much off of Jericho turnpike

Just read this article on deadspin about Gyas Zardes (http://screamer.deadspin.com/how-ho...rdes-are-transforming-1648216049/+GregHoward1)

No idea who or what this dude is about but I guess he's out here playing really well and he's homegrown talent. Kilinsman hasn't called him up tho. Maybe due to his "MLS" hate.

What can ya'll MLS heads tell me about him? I'd guess anything would be better than Jozy at this point.
If there is a USMNT player I would compare him to it would be an unpolished version of Aron Jóhannsson.

When comparing him directly to Jozy, they have similar strengths in hold up ability and shooting with decent power but I don't think he quite has the strength to be that lone target forward that Jürgen seems to see in Jozy. However, while he doesn't thrive as a target forward, I do think he performs a bit more comfortably in taking on defenders 1 on 1 and playing out in space (as evident when the Galaxy plays him at times in the midfield). He also has a nose for goals so that's a plus...

And I don't think Jürgen hates him or other MLS youngsters per se, but rather he is just waiting out on bringing in the young MLS'ers until the January camp.

Inzaghi is getting his former club playing as good as they can. They just need to find a way to beat the clubs at the top of the table. I don't think Milan has the $$$ to pay his transfer fee & his weekly wages.

Had a full weekend of footy for my son's club so I was only able to watch the Barca vs Eibar & the final moments of the QPR vs Liverpool game earlier today.

My son's club had 4 games this weekend. We tied the class of the leagues we play in on Friday 2-2.

We then beat the bottom run team 7-0 on Saturday while even trying to play possession in an effort not to run up the score.

We then had 2 more games today. We beat a middle rung team, 7- 3. We also tried playing possession in this game too as not to run up the score & the team ended up bagging 3 goals in the final 5 mins or so.

Our last game today was against our heated rivals which have foul/loud mouth parents & a coach that gets carded for talking to refs too much. The coach & parents didn't disappoint today either. We were down 2-1 at the half but ended up winning 4-2... :smokin

My son can't seem to find the back of the net but at least he's passing well (bagged 3 assists this weekend) & helping to set up the break while helping to keep possession.

As for Barca, Einbar did a great job keeping the Blaugrana from scoring for most of the game but the flood gates opened up late. It was good to see Masch play the pivot. He looked great in the first half but was invisible in the second half.

I can't say this enough... Pique is a waste of talent. I really wish the club can find some way to off load him. He's also a big DB... There was video of him last week berating a cop for ticketing his brother for parking in a no parking zone. Said some complete DB things.

The end of that QPR cvs Liverpool game... Glad to see Vargas playing well though...

Nice job rck

I'll look forward to see him on the NT then.

bale out with a hip injury and we have 2 important games this week. maybe theyll use the starting XI from saturday. I think that worked out well.

:x Check out vid footage of this brawl that occurred Friday in the Argentinian 3rd division when Deportivo Roca hosted rival Cipolletti... Forward to the 2.54 mark when the foul occurred. The melee ensues thereafter. Brawl & 12 red cards later, the match was stopped. :smh:
