might be late but just discovered the fox sports go app.... free way to watch ucl games.. unlike fox soccer app

Andy Najar, like i told yaw, BALLIN!! #DCU Academy

HOW bout that damn GOONER resilience though!!

Comeback steez!! POGOLSKI!!

If he were to leave we would still have Sturridge

Yea but Sturrudge is older and he wasn't brought up thru the Liverpool ranks. Sterling needs to stay, can't let him go. I don't care how much they pay you. Just like with Suarez, even tho he wanted to go - no amount if money could fill that void. Sterling has the potential to be that important for Liverpool on and off the pitch.

These FOX soccer analysts are absolutely killing Balotelli for trading jerseys at halftime. Saying he should be let go, berating him. Is it that big of deal tho? Is the English press doing the same thing? :smh:

balo aint doing anything for liverpool. dudes overrated hot basura idk why he gets praised. kroos and hamez getting most assists this season :pimp:

He was praised for being a young talent. And that game against Germany in Euro 2012 proved that he has talent. But so far in his career, he hasn't been able to do much with it.

And I don't care about his antics and stuff. There haven't been many news about him messing up recently, compared to when he was at City. If him doing stupid **** off the pitch is what takes for him to play better, then whatever works for him. As long as he doesn't hurt himself or others obviously. Zlatan is cocky as hell and it helps his confidence and be a better player. But Balo can and needs to play better, I don't care if he wears women's underwear if it helps him.

Wow I seriously cannot believe the backlash towards Balo man :smh:

I don't really like Balo, personally I think he's an idiot and I said he'd be playing on a mid-table Italian team or in Turkey within a few years before - but god damn man - he is not the reason Liverpool lost this game.

He's literally being attacked like he scored those goals himself. English media is going crazy because he traded jersey's with Pep at the half - do you know how many times players do that in Latin-Europe? thats very common because players always wear fresh-new jerseys during the second half anyways. Not his fault he doesn't know the tradition of the English football culture.

Now I understand why he wore the "Why Always Me" shirt before, he really is an unnecessary target.

Lol, of course it's not the reason Liverpool lost, but Balo has played in Europe & England long enough to know swapping shirts at half time is something you just don't do. Can't plead naivety on this one as to "why it's always" him.

Media will obviously go overboard, but he deserves the criticism for being an idiot.

I mean, at least wait until you're down the tunnel and out of sight of the cameras

If he continues playing poorly and not living up to his potential, pretty soon he won't be imporant enough to be criticized and simply no dambs will be given when he messes up.

He's already losing his place on the national squad. I haven't forgotten about that HUGE chance he messed up from the brilliant Pirlo pass in the game against Costa Rica in the World Cup, which had he converted it (like he should've) probably would've put Italy in the round of 16.

My man, I want to agree with what you're saying. And partially I do, because I know Balo takes a lot of heat for his antics. But I think the issue with Balo, is that he takes a lot of flack because he has all of the God given talent but doesn't put in a shift. Look at Torres, at first the crowd couldn't stand him and give him flack. But after a while Fernando WORKED every minute he played. You could see he wanted it really badly, but things just didn't come together for him.

Balo on the other hand is always shown not giving it his all in training, not even being bothered to try, often going missing on the pitch. Those individual moments of brilliance that we see on YouTube only come every now and again, and while other players put in a shift between those individual moments, Balo doesn't.

end of the day what is the issue? whats so disrespectful about it? Coutinho did it with Oscar last yr i wanna say and no one mentioned it. How is trading a jersey at half time insulting to English footie culture? I never got the uproar behind it.. in fact i love how this is the media's main talking point and not the fact that Rodgers got his tactics wrong AGAIN and fielded the wrong team. Balotelli is far from professional but English media love a foreign player to blame.

Trust me I agree with you 100%. I remember when Sterling started playing with the senior team and a few matches later Rodgers had him on the bench.

I was livid as he was one of the few brights spots for that season(2012-13). I'd be mad as hell if we were unable to retain him. We do have tons of young talent to look forward to in the future with Sterling, Origi, Sturridge, Emre Can, Coutinho, Ilbi, Markovic, Moreno, Suso, and Flanagan. The issue at the moment imo is our lineups. Gerrard needs to benched for some games or if he plays he needs to be subbed. I still don't get why Rodgers plays both Coutinho and Joe Allen at the same time. :smh:

We needed someone who could help carry the scoring load like Suarez, and we shot for Balo, but it seems he isn't the answer. The issue with Balo is he isn't picking his spots to take his shots. He is just attempting to score from every angle which doesn't seem to be working out for him. However, The English media is going at him for nothing.

Coutinho is good and needs to start

That ball by James....that run by Ronnie for the first goal was brilliant.

Real are on a nice run.

Leave Balo alone!!!!

Dude needs to some how learn to apply himself.  People are frustrated with him because they know how good he could be.  If he worked as hard as Suarez he could be THAT good.  But i don't know why people don't get it by now...he is who he is.  He will get you some goals, and he will frustrate you when he is lazy/dumb on the field.  If he could just hold the ball up better i think it would greatly help 'Pool.  He turns the ball over too much for my liking in no-gain situations.  Just play it the way your facing and build an attack

I agree with all this tho - We're not that far off.

All I'm saying is...

A) he is not the reason why Liverpool lost this game, Liverpool were outmatched by world class players at every position. They had no chance.

B) the English media attack is using this "trading jerseys at halftime" narrative to fuel the backlash - I'm saying, that's completely ridiculous. Trading a jersey at halftime may not be done in England but it's done in Southern Europe, I know that. It should not be taken as "insulting". It's not that big of a deal.

...and that's it, that's all I'm saying.

I hear you, I used to laugh at players changing jerseys at HT, cause to me it looked like a player trying to outfox his teammates by getting the jersey everyone wants early and not waiting until the 90th when someone else might have got it after the whistle. I don't think it's the end of the world.

English media also wants something to report on, cause one click bait and two, there aren't the greatest of English Champions League stories to report on right now.

Coupé It Coupé It yeah man pundits and media are going in... :smh:

Carragher was unsparing in his criticisms of the former Manchester City striker. “I’d be surprised to see him here next season. It was just a panic; they needed someone. They left it too late. A lot of the players have come in and done a decent job here and there, but nobody’s really done anything. They bring in Balotelli late on – it’s obviously a panic.”

Jamie Redknapp: “I don’t blame Mario Balotelli – I blame Brendan Rodgers for bringing him here. How he thought he could turn around a player that Mourinho, Mancini, Prandelli have all washed their hands of …"

“There’s a reason when you go to the supermarket and things are half price. Why on earth they went for him, I’ll never know. They should have just left him alone. The fact he [Rodgers] went and got him, it just doesn’t make any sense to me.”

English media pick their narrative and they don't back off it. Anything that goes wrong at Liverpool is Balo's fault now.

Assuming this doesn't turn around, where the hell does Balo go from here? Burned up bridges in England and Italy. He gonna go play in Turkey? Couple of Russian clubs could throw money, but that would seem to be a certain disaster.
Let his value drop low enough and MLS should throw out a $10M offer, even if he's probably never go for it. He could IDGAF his way to 20+ goals.
