you would expect something like that from inexperienced players like Blackett or McNair,but definitely not Smalling...
Jones need to come back asap so this fool doesn't get another minute of first team action this season...
 
I think Smalling knows his time at United is coming to an end.

I can't see how he'll still be at United next season.

Agreed,he's been playing as if he's playing real life Fifa Street. I'd even miuch prefer Jonny Evans out there instead. Really hoping they can sign a workhorse for that back line in January,definitely lacking some leadership and consistency at the back.

Yesterday's Barca loss -

First credit goes to Celta's keeper Sergio Alvarez... Phenomenal performance from the Celta keeper. Made several brilliant saves from all angles yesterday. Also Barca couldn't handle the speed of Celta's attack. Celia were relentless yesterday.

It's clear Masch isn't a CB. he's a bull in a china shop & often makes clumsy mistakes. Also Alves... :smh: He hasn't lost a step but he looks like he's completely forgotten how to play the FB role. Absolute terrible job clearing lines, forgot or didn't track back, & wasteful going forward. Benjamin Button was the best defender yesterday.

I didn't look at the stats but I'm sure Barca won possession but I didn't see any of the hallmarks that make tiki taka work so well. I also didn't see the tracking back & attack on the ball that were the hallmarks of Enrique's Celta side & from Barca earlier.

Rafa had a terrible game & Hannibal looked gassed. Another bad game from Busquets... Another critical game in which Messi looked aimless for large periods of the game.
