Terrible day for Milan, they have played 3 games in 8 days and it showed. Alex had to subbed not even 2 minutes into the game, and Torres is as nonexistent  as ever. The only highlight was the young Argentine Paulo Dybala scoring a beauty on Diego Lopez.

Peeped Cristiano putting ice on his knee on several occasions after games. He's doing more than his knee can take and it will be his undoing if he doesn't take time to recuperate

How do you know he's doing more than his knee can take?

I see athletes ice their knees once the game is over all the time.

athletes deal with what he has all the time dude. its just what you gotta deal with. he'll be aight..age catching up to him a lil

City being reliant on Aguero? He's just the most accurate right now. We get many shots off, lot on target but it they don't hit the back of the net. City lead the league in shots off the post with 10 now. More unlucky than reliant. Game should of had more goals in it with the missed penalty calls and possible hand balls.

I'm actually disappointed in him. He did not play too well in my eyes, and then to go and get himself injured in a Jones-style last ditch tackle just put the cherry on the cake.

The need for 1 solid CB (possible 2) and another CMF is so obvious now.. BUT there was some positives from yesterdays game.. and although we are worse off then we were under moyes this time last yr, we deff seem to be moving in the right direction. Just seems we lack that bit of quality at the back and sometimes in the MF and a WHOLE lot of injuries

Positives for me:
Shaw looked good to me, got beat couple times but kept his head and was able to force a bad cross or regain possession.
Blind/ fellaini looked good to me as well, thought wazza looked good in CAM role.. Deff was complete contrast to the last 4 derbys where citys Midfield ran us over COMPLETELY.
A back line that consisted of Valencia, MCNAIR, Carrick and Shaw was able to hold on without another goal.

Negatives for me:
Smalling
RVP's hold up play was horrible.. and killed off our attack at times
Double teaming Di Maria, pretty much stops our attack (too reliant on him)
SMALLING
Januzaj, though he took his man on.. his lack of creativity is killing us (nothing coming from that right side).. still think he tends to go for glory over helping the team.
SMALLING!!!!!!!!

Sidenote- what the **** is going on at Carrington? Have we gone a week without a player getting injured?

Smalling doe.

Definitely fam. Aguero is feastin right now so you gotta feed the best. Also people dont comprehend that Nasri is still getting back healthy and to fitness, and Yaya is in LaLa land right now. Once they get their form back its gonna be a problem!

Also Jovetic is also slowly getting integrated into consistent minutes and Dzeko is also deadly when he wants to be. For how poorly the team has been I'm glad they are in where they are right now in the BPL. We just gotta get this W against CSKA Wednesday or its a wrap for a run at UEFA again :smh:

There didn't seem to be a sense of urgency from the team yesterday. This has been a problem since Pep's last year. It was a stark contrast from what Celta was doing at Camp Nou. They were ready to run the minute the game started & stayed organized every moment each time Barca tried to take back momentum.

Gotta hand it to Eduardo Berizzo. Another fine La LIga manager. His Celta side has played well on the road this campaign notching draws at Atleti & Athletic.

thought Sergio Álvarez had an amazing game and barca were very unlucky to not take all 3 points... but that happens in football. I think it would be wise to move messi back and accommodate both Suarez and neymar now..

If you've seen Wenger in interviews outside of post match comments, he's a very affable fellow. Not surprised he did the commercial.

Will be interesting to see if he has trouble with his parkas during matches going forward. :nerd:

Always serious on the pitch, but off the pitch, dude seems very chilled out.

I loved seeing Wenger just chillin' in Ipanema playing footy volleyball... :smokin

I know he's much maligned for the performance of Arsenal over the last 10 years or so & being so frugal in the transfer market over the years, but his contribution to modern football can't be denied.

Can someone explain why it's Wenger who always and mostly gets flack for not spending? And it isn't the board/owners?

Because they're a big club, with a history of success and the most expensive tickets in the league.

Everyone likes to think the buck stops with the manager, but there's more to it than that.

What doesn't help Arsene's cause is the board comes out saying Wenger has a war chest to spend, who knows what's really said in the boardroom though.
