i guess there is no fear on Real's part that offering Odegaard 80k a week will stunt his drive or development.. i think its a bit much, especially when you think cats like Reus are on 65k a week..

I think that this deal is going to cause some Real players to leave like Di Maria did if they don't get a bump in their contract. I still don't understand how a kid who turned 16 and is playing on the B team, gets paid more then world class proven players.

At this point in the window, I don't expect any decent signings for United.

The re-building will most likely only occur in the summer. United taking a big gamble on that shaky defence with a 3-5-2 hoping that Southampton will run out of steam (good chance, they actually won't).

surely he has to revert to the 4-4-2 or at the very least 4 at the back... we don't have the players to use his system.. I really don't see De Gea leaving that soon if he extends.. now if he doesn't get a new contract he is deff gone this summer :smh:

I read the reason we haven't been as active is we are trying to get DDG's contract sorted first.. being that we both heard the complete opposites, its safe to say the media/we are all clueless..

I would assume he'll revert back to 4 at the back, but I think it's clear he doesnt' trust Evans...and doesn't reaaaaally like Jones either.

He'll have to revert to the 4 to get United attacking again.

So it's official, Madrid signed Lucas Silva. This deal got pushed thru because the CBF is following fifa's lead in banning third party ownership as of May so all parties were in a rush to sell Silva off while they could.

I wanna wish the kid well, but he's a Blanco now... :rolleyes

Speaking of money, here's the complete Deloitte report on the richest clubs. Very interesting data if anyone cares to read through.

Crazy that Dortmund is the #11 richest club & their in a relegation battle. I hope they pull through...

Not too crazy of a situation though as Bayern flirted with relegation in the 90s that cost Jupp Heynckes his job during his first go around as Bayern manager.

True ,just hoping their development goes well and that they can handle the pressure.

Yeah I posted the full list a few pages back,2nd place isn't bad for a team without European football  :smokin. Sad to see Milan out of the top 10 :\

Looks like LvG is sticking with 3-5-2 because a 4-4-2 makes his a** twitch (the exchange really starts at 2.55 mark)...

:rolleyes

Seeing a stagnant attack and that back 3 being sliced and diced on a regular basis makes my *** twtch.

I guess horizontal stripes are what's in for 2015? I really like that away kit in Catalan colors.

A** twitch...

Thanks Beans. eiddy usually holds it down, he even puts it nicely formatted too but I guess he's been busy with his girl...

I'm surprised there hasn't been a mass exodus Shakhtar players since the war between Russia & the Ukraine started.

I've only gotten to watch Shakhtar when they play in the CL or EL... Douglas Costa is an attacking mid who plays on the right side. He's young at 24. Not sure if what he does will translate in a stronger league.
