Not really a shirt sponsor but a club from Peru, Deportivo Wanka. Not sure if they're still around. I don't think wanker is in the verbal lexicon in Peru/South America but it's still funny.

I'm not sure why footballers allow themselves to be baited and constantly cave to spontaneous emotion. You're in the public limelight, for better or worse. Specific to Neymar: You make millions, slay top-notch box, and just secured two away goals at Eastlands with likely advancement to the quarterfinals. Tough life.

Impressive that Monaco only conceded one goal in 6 group stage matches, but only scored four themselves. Point being, they struggle to manufacture goals. I'd be surprised if Jardim's side secures an away goal at Emirates. However, you can never account for fluky attempts.

I think the game has passed him by a bit but I still have enormous respect for Wenger. This is a great quote from him about this time with Monaco & Arsenal.

Random though, but I hate the CL on Fox. I miss the ESPN coverage so much with Derrek Rae & Tommy Smyth. I like Warren Barton but Lalas & Waynalda are just jerks.

I have a funny story about Waynalda. If any of you guys remember the show from fox soccer channel Fox Football Phone In. He and Nick Webster came to a bar in nyc Nevada Smiths to do the show. Since he was such a douche the whole bar Arsenal, United, Everton fans chanted John Harkes F*** your wife while the show was going on. His face was priceless. I''m surprised he didn't walk off. I met Andy Grey that day also. Good Bloke
