Wow Ramos

Although Real probably wins at home next week, I love the grit of this Juve team. Arturo Vidal, Marchisio and Chielini put in some blue collar shifts

Thought it was obvious from the jump that the lineup by Carlos wasn't working

In the early minutes Varane and Pepe had zero chemistry and left gigantic gaps. First goal came off that.

Then Ramos with zero penetration in his offense. Just sideways and to the stands.

Pepe and Ramos were monstrous in the semis against Bayern. When it's big game time they raise their game as a pairing to another level.

Carlos shoulda just trusted Chicharito from the start.

Am seriously surprised Madrid lost. That second game at the Bernabeu will be very interesting now.

There's a part of me that feels that this is being done to appease Varane instead of Carlos feeling that it's the best move for the team.

A lot of big clubs are going to come knocking this summer to offer Varane a place off of Madrids bench and into a starting XI.

Selecting him for important matches at the end of the season could pay dividends when it comes to keeping him in Spain, but it clearly held the team back today for the whole 90 minutes.

I thought Juve had a puncher's chance in the semis, but now the hard part comes playing at the Bernabeu. I have a feeling Ronnie's away goal will play a factor.

This Madrid team has had a real Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde aspect to it this campaign. You never know if you're going to get the world beating Galaticos or that team stuck in a rut. No doubt the line -up had a lot to do with the result but gotta give credit to Juve too.

Was it Marcelo shooting that shot that caused the counter which led to Carvaj (sp?) fouling Tevez for the PK?
