Vermaelen, keeper Claudio Bravo, & FB Douglas Pereira have to give their uefa CL medals back because none of them featured in enough or any CL games. I feel bad for Bravo because he played a pivotal role for the club albeit for liga play.

Yeah that does suck. Especially Bravo cause he would of been the first Chilean to win a Champions League.

I do remember knowing some bland rule in various leagues being in order to keep the medal that your team won you have to have made a certain number of appearances in that competition and/or minutes played. This being said a lot of people are overlooked on their records forever. Super Mario just barely qualified as a champions league winner with Inter.

From the AST meeting
  • All credit goes to AFC_Andrew (@PR_WhoRu)
  • John Cross says Arsenal have progressed this season & retaining a Cup is harder than winning it first time.
  • John Cross says Arsenal got business done well last Summer cause **** Law set up meetings then Wenger charmed agents & players.
  • John Cross doubts Chambers has the pace to be a RB or passing range to be a CM but he's set to be a fine CB.
  • John Cross says from the information he knows Petr Cech wants to join Arsenal. He's told hierarchy at CFC he wants to join us.
  • John Cross has heard Cech has told Mourinho he wants to leave for Arsenal but Mourinho says he can leave for free but on CFC's terms.
  • John Cross says The Mirror wouldn't have put story about Sczcesny smoking on back page unless they were 100% sure.
  • John Cross says he thinks there's an issue between Gerry Peyton & Sczcesny. Fabianski credited Tony Roberts ahead of GP, too.
  • Schneiderlin watch: John Cross thought in Jan Arsenal felt that has him after a lot of groundwork. Seem like they're driving price down.
  • John Cross thinks Arsenal's transfer business will be minimum this summer. Two players of quality with bits around the edge
  • John Cross thinks a GK & DCM are two likely options but Wenger is happy with the squad & wants to keep it tight.
  • John Cross is convinced that Arsenal would have sold Santi Cazorla last summer for right bid but not this summer.
  • I asked question is there a chance Santi will leave as Julien Laurens mentioned he may in last AST. John Cross feels he'll go next Summer
  • John Cross believes Arsenal have been told that it would cost £40m to buy Kondogbia & are unlikely to pursue.
  • John Cross says Arteta has agreed a 1 year contract with Arsenal but hasn't signed it & that it's becoming so farcical he may leave.
  • John Cross says if he was a betting man and "if" Arteta leaves, he feels he may join Moyes at Sociedad to become a player coach
  • There's been no official announcement by Arsenal's press division about Rosicky's new contract - simply Arsene mentioned it.
  • John Cross says FA Charge of WIlshere was ludicrous. Says Wilshere shouldn't haven't done it but FA were a farce.
  • John Cross thinks there's insufficient depth to the strike force & a lack of a variant of strikers.
  • Arsenal are targeting a few 15/16 year olds to really strengthen youth ranks but money being talked about is silly.
  • On potentially an incoming striker - likely we'll only sign one if we can sell 2 on.
  • John Cross says Wenger used to be back page gold with much better humour than Mourinho does but has been overtaken for those 'one liners'.
  • John Cross says he is "absolutely convinced" that Wenger wants another long-term contract after his current agreement expires.
  • Cross believes relationship between Wenger & hierarchy much healthier now due to financial backing being there.

Also, our budget for the summer is 70m

Yo, has anyone seen the video of Iker completely ignoring DDG on Spain duty, dude doesn't even look at his once  Iker knows he's finished.

Now what's cooler than being cool? Ice Cold!

Yup,they definitely won't have a hard time getting along and both their egos can totally co-exist... :rolleyes. Gonna be fun to hear some of the "leaks" coming out of the locker room next season

Not too long ago, just after Carlo got the boot there was a story on either AS or Marca where Iker said that he was mad at Carlo for much of the last campaign but wished him well. I was like that MFer... He steady kept playing you despite Madridistas & Madrid press calling for your head & you're pissed for whatever reasons at Carlo!?!?! I know he's a Los Blancos/La Roja legend & all but what a *****... :smh:

Huh... Ozil invited Neymar out after the CL win & they hung out till 6AM the next morning with the likes of Draxler & some other footballers... :nthat:

Transfer Rumors:
- Arsenal is on alert as Paris Saint-Germain is ready to sell Zlatan Ibrahimovic this summer.
- Tottenham is keen on a move for Monaco striker Anthony Martial.
- Tottenham has agreed a €25 million deal with Monaco for forward Anthony Martial. Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is a big admirer of the 19-year-old, who is seen as the next Thierry Henry,

Ibra would be a damn good addition. Even at 33yo, he still can offer us something. It's just a matter of his antics

Would hate to see Martial go to the Spurs. I don't see him getting more playing time at Spurs. At least Monaco is in a CL spot

@samuelJayC Arsenal will not receive £2.9m bonus for Vermaelen winning @ChampionsLeague as defender didn't play any minutes.
-He also had to give back his medal, Bravo and any play who didn't play any minutes

^ I think thats a silly season rumor... Both Al-Khelaifi & Ibra have said Ibra will be staying at PSG through the end of his contract. I'm not sure Ibra would like the style of play Wenger employs. If he comes to any team in the Prem, I can see Chelsea.

 @ tall *** DdG in a Mini Cooper...

a midtalbe team in the epl, a club in italy, or a midtable club in la liga should fit him right.

Unless he makes a stagering move to bayern munich just to sit on the bench lmao

"hey guys, at least I played for all the top clubs in europe!"

jk.

Valencia and Sevilla don't really need him. Valencia already has Rodrigo, that flop from city, and 2 other strikers I think, while sevilla have Gameiro and Bacca. I could see him at sevilla, but Bacca is too raw to bench and Gameiro is more technical than him.

He could move to Real Sociedad and partner up with Vela and Campbell (if he's actually signed, he was pretty meh with Villarreal tho).

I heard Monchi was interested in bringing a Korean striker. I don't know his full name but apparently it's Chu. The guys on the Spanish Football podcast were making jokes about Chu - Bacca...

Looks like the District of Columbia & DC United have officially announced the building of a football only stadium to be built on Buzzard Point a mile away from the Nationals (mlb) park. District leaders approved $140 million to acquire the land & another $40 million in tax breaks. DC United will spend $150 million to build the stadium themselves.
