The Thread About Nothing. SNEAKER EDITION

Just a question of curiosity...
What are the footlocker workers at your footlocker like?
dirtbags. Most of those that work in shoe stores are. It's even worse now. I was never really like that though.

And...be quiet @franc

[thread="603301"]14s are fire plus they are probably the best of the official j's line to ball in.[/thread]
I'm not a fan of that shoe in general. Although the toebox has a lot of room in it. It's the best to ball in, in terms of what though?

I can't speak on the latest retros, but older XIVs had amazing traction, court-feel, cushioning and great ankle support, without being overly restrictive. They were also very light when they came out, although like most leather shoes they're probably bricks by today's standards. The thing that made them so amazing was the fact they had an incredible amount of court-feel, while retaining great cushioning. XIVs were in a league of their own and are still considered by many to be the best performing Jordan on court. The only shoes of the period I can recall coming close to the traction/court-feel/cushioning combo of the XIVs are the Jet Flight and Flightposite II's, both of which released a few years after the XIV.

beh, what dank said.

dank knows :nthat:

Oh, I just didn't like the aesthetics and the sales of jordans at my Footlocker reflected that. Didn't know people used them for performance and not aesthetics in this moern age either

Looked like a robot foot

Smdh at not scooping em wen they had em at rugged warehouse for like 60

this sentiment can be said for many releases throughout everyone growing up :smh: . brb, looking for my time machine.

^ Yeah, people loved Jet Flights and Steve Nash swore by them for years. I just wasn't a fan of the XIV originally. My first AJ was the XII and I left them alone until I started buying more kicks years later. I didn't like XIV's aesthetically but a LOT of people I knew loved them. FP II's were always puzzling to me. I didn't like that shoe at all. And they were uncomfortable on my foot.
The FPIIs were a strange shoe. As I'm sure you know, they were originally KGs signature shoe. The odd thing was, even though they were being marketed as a forwards shoe, from what I witnessed, they became much more popular with guards.
True, they were very strange and a lot of guards did like them. That square toebox though....

. I couldn't get with it. Maybe if I copped them and broke them in, they might have felt better. I didn't like how the back of the shoe rubbed my achilles when I tried them on, and since I have fat feet, they initially hurt like hell. I took them off and it was an easy pass for me. My heart wanted to but ultimately I couldn't. What's weird is the FPIII fit me similar but the rounded toebox got me and I didn't care

, I copped anyway.

I skipped all the posite's. Was never really a fan outside of the fp1, but, I missed my opportunity on the white/blue gradient fade or whatever pair so I didn't care anymore. Dope silhouettes though.

That was the FP II. I's and III's are now loved. FP II's...if you were a fan, you copped, but a lot of people were on the fence when they came out. The all black FP II's sold well as well as the white/blue joints. I can't front that cw was fire because I am a fan of KG and that T Wolves cw. The Navy/gold cw sat and sold ok, but that's it from what I can recall. I don't think my store got the white/silver cw. Those kicks were around for a long time though

why can'tnike kill off the dunkman series?

When it first came out, it had great execution and the colors mixed well for a basic but bright look.

than it got cliche but still sorta nice with black/green, than it got disgusting with that green/volt

The Navy/Gold FPIIs made for the 2000 Olympics were hard to get and sold out fast, but that's because they were NT exclusives limited to 500 pairs. Nike also made an Olympic BB4 in the same colorway. I actually think I might have both pairs in storage, although I may have sold them.

The Black/Navy and Black/Zinc Colorways were the ones that sat for ever.

Yeah, those were the cw I was thinking of that sat. By the time I got to NT, I saw a random pair of Olympic BB4 that got returned. I didn't see the appeal. But yeah you're right, the cw people were wanting was the navy/gold joints. The rest were not as sought after.

beh235 beh235 thanks for the correction

I had that olive colorway of the zoom havens, wish I could have got that pair posted too. Such a dope shoe. There are bunch of footscapes I missed out on too.

just came across this shoe looking for some cross trainers or huaraches I had in elementary school.
