2014 NFC North Trash Talking Thread: Ron Parker-Bears dream dead! Greg Jennings cut!

As optimistic as I want to be, the answer is no.
If Tampa gets the #1 pick....its a no brainer with MM8.
I believe Jameis goes to either the Titans or the Jets.

If we get a top 10 pick I say trade down. Possibly get a mid to late first rounder with an extra 2nd round pick as well.
I say go with either DE, LB, or S.

What other teams are gonna need a QB? Most have their young franchise QB. We could easily trade up

Titans/Jets and probably Washington in the top 10.

I don't want Cutler to be here next year but I'd rather not reach on a prospect. Who knows how much it'll take to trade up. Considering the team is just plain bad, we need as much draft picks as possible to rebuild.

A win is a win but what an ugly and sloppy game today.

Defense balled as usual but special teams screwed them twice leading to both TDs.

As for the O, at least Reggie looks a lil better.

Seahawks didn't look great last year either.

People keep wanting to see us be the offense we've been in the past and that ain't us anymore.

We are a defensive team with a big play offense that is hit or miss.

Damb we are 7.5 point underdogs.

:smh:

The entire universe is going to pick Green Bay and they should. I hope it motivates the goons.

Looking at the probable seedings the winner of Sunday's game is pretty much guaranteed a spot in the NFC Championship game.

Bye then playing the South champion or Drew Stanton and the Cardinals at home.

Loser is going to Dallas which is no big deal IMO. Hell I actually think the Packers would be just as good in Jerry World as Lambeau but either team making that trip to Seattle is in trouble in round 2.

Real talk this game is the most important regular season game in Detroit Lions' history.

Teddy is definitely having the better season but I'm not ready to say he's better than Stafford. 9 has bad games but his good games he can light if up and makes throws nobody else in the league can. Love/hate relationship. Teddy still gotta prove he can do it consistently.

Teddy Bridgewater doesn't think he's better than Matt Stafford.

Jay Cutler's numbers are better than both of them

That No. 1 pick has been a franchise QB for so many before and after you, a shame that that feeling you have of him never satisfying what you want grows larger by the year. I award you no points, and may god have mercy on your soul

Serious question

What more do yall want Matt Stafford to do?

Does he have to be Aaron Rodgers to meet your expectations?

I just don't get it.

At his number of starts and age what is he supposed to be doing that he isn't?

While its still too early to anoint Teddy the second coming...
IF his rookie season is any indication of whats to come, then I would say yeah..next to Arog he's going to be the best QB in this division.

0-15 I believe against teams that finish with winning records on the road. A career completion percentage better than 60% at a minimum? A 2 to 1 TD/int at a minimum? I want more out of him but I don't expect to get it. He's a middle of the road quarterback. Hopefully that's good enough to get us where we want to go.

This is the first year he's had two nfl receivers and he done everything you have listed except the 2/1 ratio which is close.

What I'm asking for is bare minimum. He has a career less than 60% completion percentage. I mean that's ridiculous in today's nfl where you can't touch recievers and you can't hit quarterbacks. 19/12 TD to int and completeing just 61% of his passes. My point is that he has two recievers now and his numbers are still "meh".

He has the same numbers Joe Flacco did when he won a Super Bowl and Eli when he won his.

With the money on the line I trust him and he's about to flourish.

Joe Flacco is a "meh" quarterback who went on a hot streak in the playoffs. Hopefully Stafford can do that, and if he can who cares if he's average right? I'm just done with "elite" and hoping for "good enough".

Joe Flacco makes the playoffs every year and outplayed "elite" quarterbacks before he won a Super Bowl in the playoffs.

I want rings yall can keep that Stat ****. That doesn't get you anywhere.

I've noticed dudes obsessed with quarterback performance outside of the context of overall team performance are fans of teams that have never won ****.

You can hate on Stafford but i think people forget he is still a relatively young player. He has had to go through a bunch of coaching and offense changes at the same time. He has the tools and skillset to be elite, he just needs some stability and a system that works for this team.

He isn't Jay Cutler who is already in his 30's and has shown he has absolutely no passion. I would say at least 20+ teams would be lining up for Staffords services if he were available.

Onto tomorrow though, really looking forward to this game. Want to see the offense come out hot and the defense to put pressure on A Rod.

I've given the same excuses to Cutler but got bashed vehemently.

Wonder what it will take for dude to actually be consistent. Or for others to realize maybe he isn't.

The Flacco thing is more of an outlier. Once in a while you get dudes like him or Eli or Brad Johnson, etc. who win the SB but I'm placing my bets on guys who produce consistently, especially elite ones.
