Fragment Design x Retro 1 High OG - Dec 27, 2014

Also that height difference ain't much at all. Was wondering what that hype surrounding the height was about. I'm not sure I'd even notice. The Royals had a higher cut than the black toes too. It would be practically nonexistent.

That video is Cantonese folk. They were duscussing the missing black fragment logo on the heel too.

Obviously they said the frags were of higher quality etc. Didn't watch the whole thing, but dude banging the box repeatedly had me wincing.

I ******* love Asians bruh! Mess with race heavy. They know how to style. You have no hope of outdressing a Chinese guy in Chicago. Don't know where they get the money from but they always draped up in Givenchy, Giuseppe, Off-White, Hood By Air, YSL and got $800 MCM backpacks on and take their girls out on $2000 shopping sprees.

But I guess when single females outnumber single males in your country by 34 million people you have to be rich to get ahead in life.

Japanese are cool too and southeast Asians cook the most bomb foods.

Lovin the height on the Frags, looks like first sneaker in a while I'll most likely be paying over retail

EXCLUSIVE LOOK: WE ALREADY GOT OUR FRAGMENT X AIR JORDAN 1S

The fragment x Air Jordan 1s, the result of yet another Hiroshi Fujiwara and Nike collaboration, have been teased on the Internet for months, and they're finally releasing in a little under two weeks. Just the other day, we got wind that these would be the first"Remastered" Air Jordans, which were slated to rollout starting in 2015.

Earlier this year, Fujiwara explained in a Hypebeast interview  that, "The materials follow the original pretty closely and the toe box appears in a special black that’s popular right now called 'Black Toe.'" That was a sign that his 1s wouldn't be just another retro, but something special. With that said, we already got our pair here at Complex  office. And, truth be told, they look great.

The leather looks premium and the colorway is a nice ode to the "black/royal" version, while making something new at the same time. Retail is expected to be $165 and they're set to come out on Saturday, December 27. Until then, take a look at these detailed images above and below.

All photos by Andy Hur. You can follow him on Twitter here. A special thanks to Dan Resnick for providing the sneakers.

Acting as the “H” in the famed HTM collective by Nike  is Hiroshi Fujiwara, the Japanese design legend who has brought us a number of classic icons of street culture and fashion over the last several decades. The man that every relevant brand wishes to collaborate with has brought in the fragment design aesthetic to the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG and introduced a seamless combination of two original Air Jordan colorways – the “Royal” and the “Black-Toe”. Fujiwara has had a penchant of keeping his ideas as simple and straightforward as possible, but its the flawless execution of his direction that keeps him a cut above the rest. And as expected, his latest sneaker endeavor only adds on to his growing reputation as one of the most influential figures in the history of sneakers.

As mentioned earlier, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG by fragment design brings in the “Black Toe” look at the fore-foot and bridges it with the “Royal” on the heel, sole, and tongue label. The iconic double lighting bolt logo is pressed into the heel and certainly holds its own when juxtaposed with the daunting Air Jordan “wings” logo on the ankle collar. What’s more is that Jordan Brand has confirmed this to be the first of the “Remastered” take on Air Jordans, so we are to expect a level of quality that matches the heightened production value. We bring you the fragment design x Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG in tonight’s Monday Night Preview below, so get the detailed look here and let us know where this ranks among this year’s Air Jordan 1 releases.
