Yea it's definitely money to be made. I haven't optimized what I could bring in but I'm pretty happy also.
Writing software is a very lucrative profession given the right opportunities. My boy actually does that and has his own start up/firm. He's from Vegas aswell and flies out to Norcal damn near every other day. He tells me that all he does out there is pitch his company to investors. Apparently thats how tech startups eat, being funded by investors. He actually lives really well. Rents a 6 bedroom on a golfcourse community and is pretty much never home.
