I'm not a fan of Mayweather, but Nichols came off as someone with a grudge against him specifically. Had this been a report on the MANY athletes that have domestic abuse issues, she might have seemed a lot more genuine. Hell, she could have highlighted a number of cases in the NFL that show inconsistencies with the stated stance and punishments for domestic violence issues, but she chose not to.

I get that she's trying to get ratings and Mayweather is a heel and an easy target that can get her page views, but it's obvious what she was doing. If she really cared about the issue of domestic violence, her report would have been a lot more detailed. Her line of questioning and her opinion at the end were borderline unprofessional.

Perfectly said. I agree 100% with everything in this post.

Know this may sound crazy to some of you...

but I'm actually a huge fan of Floyd as a boxer & have 0 respect for him as a person. People seem to think that if you love an actor, musician, or athletes works you have to defend them in the personal forum as well.

I love watching Floyd in a sport which is competitive fighting for entertainment. Personally, I actually expect NOT to support the things he does in his personal life. Remember the reason you even know the guys name: he punches people and avoids getting punched better than anyone in the world. Actors: you are a fan of their skill at impersonating another person. I love movies, but as far as respecting the man/woman I can think of 50000 skills I respect far more and expect to correlate better with being a good person in my opinion.

Don't get caught defending a person who entertains you, but for all you know could be a complete douche. I wish the media treated people who made mistakes with more respect, but for the most part it probably evens out with their fans happily ignoring and defending them.

This guy. I like this guy.

I LOVE the way he handled that interview. Good job Mayweather.

White supremacist redirect.

Hilarious how they make it obvious that they don't want him to have money. And then they blatantly ask him if he's going to give some of his money away to some white organization.

Mayweather already knows the deal. He must have a good mentor around him.

So is Nichols now a SWS?
I always wanted to bang her but I wouldn't smash if she's racist.

this is from the transcript apparently.

>> Okay, you are someone with a history of domestic violence yourself. You have even been to jail for it, why should fans root for you with this kind of history?

>> Everything has been allegations. Nothing has been proven. So, you know that's life.

>> The incident you went to jail for the mother of your three children did show some bruises, a concussion when she went to the hospital, it was your own kids who called the police, gave them a detailed description of the abuse, there has been documentation?

>> Uh-huh. Once again, no pictures. Just hearsay and allegations. And I signed a plea-bargain. Once again, not true.

>> But the website Deadspin detailed seven physical assaults on five women that resulted in arrest or citation, are we supposed to believe all the women are lying including the incidents when there were witnesses like your own kids?

>> Everybody actually, everybody is entitled to their own opinion. When it is all said and done, only God can judge me.

still haven't watched the video doe.

Where in that interview. Give the minute and second mark.

Starting at 2:20 she says that his kids were documented in giving detailed description of the abuse. He replies with "No pictures just here hear say and allegations. I signed a plea bargain. Once again not true"

He discounted the credibility of his kids

Or she misrepresented what exactly his kids said.

When she said his kids told on him I was waiting for him to say can you prove that? Like where's the documents? It's why I didn't take what she claimed for granted like it was automatically true.

If my kids were brought up like I'd call her out so that she could prove that ****. Now if it's true and she got the proof I can see why floyd didn't ask.

This pretty much sums it up for me. I think he's the most talented to have ever stepped in the ring. Outside of it, he's about as useful as a Jersey Shore cast member.

Kid was the one who called 911 though

I swear to god some of y'all hate women for just existing.

It's not even existing. You can tell from what some of these guys are typing that their struggle with the opposite sex is VERY REAL.

Cats in the Ray Rice thread were throwing around the word "respect". How a "chin check" would teach women how to "respect" them.

Just drowning in their own insecurities.

They might need to look in the mirror and re assess their choice in women or get to the bottom of the real issue behind the "disrespect" they receive from them

Like I said in another thread... Dudes try to act Alpha way to hard on the internet. :smh:
