All I am saying is as a human, you should have the ability to go eat someone, NOT tip, and not be put on blast. Point blank. You not tipping is YOUR business. It is the servers business. Not the world.

I agree with that. The servers putting celeb non tippers on blast should result in them becoming former servers.

I do agree with that. There should be a law on that. Don't disclose what people (celebrities) tip.
But for you regular dudes that go out and get a 60 dollar meal with your shorty and then not tip...that's borderline grimy.
Of course there's always exceptions with bad service or whatever but we clearly aren't talking about that.

Found out that HRH actually makes its servers sign NDAs stating they won't release such info. The girl probably got fired for going public. Also, Floyd apparently is well known for being the best tipper in Vegas. He didn't tip because it was essentially a paid appearance. That's the whole point of a table comp. The total amount of what the final bill would be is basically his appearance "fee". He probably even got something on top of that, too. This girl needs to stop whining. She probably made a few grand that day anyway thanks to the traffic Floyd brought in..

The only time I didn't really tip, is when a waitress tried to outsmart me.
Bill was $38 I was gonna leave $7 for a tip. (18%)
So I pay with three $20's, two for the bill, and I asked her to break the last $20, so I could take care of her. She's brings me back two $10's and two $1's. (Insinuating I should give her the $10) I left the two 1's in hopes that she would learn her lesson, and not try to outsmart the customer.
18% is good enough for regular service.

I used to be a cheap tipper honestly. No matter the bill... just leave a 5 and keep it moving.
Now i'm all calculating in terms of service and price of bill.
Me and Wifey went out to eat this weekend. Bill was like $140... so I just left her $30 tip.

I used to be a waiter back in the day It was funny cause we had two types of servers, those who enjoyed the tips and those who NEEDED the tips. My understanding was my wage paid the bills I needed to pay and the tips were extra, but there were cats who needed those tips to get by and honestly I always felt it pretty irresponsible to base your living hood off other people generosity.
Tips to me was drinking/clubbing and weed money that's it. Plus I only did that **** for like 6 months I couldn't make a career out of it, my old roommate was like 30 and worked high end restaurant for years pulling big tips, but that **** was tough. Ihe had bad nights or weeks and he be stressing about the rent.
Plus I own a fast food spot and I'm sorry my people work ten times harder than any waiter or waitress at some bar or restaurant why can't they get tips word to my man Mr. Pink

^lol you in Seattle? My friend worked a high-end downtown restaurant, I would pop in ,cool environmental when everybody
knows each other and business is good. Seemed like one huge family, think he did it 10 year+ which is crazy long to
me. Have another friend that 10+ easily in the same server grind, I'm assuming the quick money in high-end joints is
addictive to a point. I've also noticed some servers/waiters have terrible money management.

Same guys that don't tip (or tip well) are prob the ones going out with friends, letting them buy rounds then disappearing or "slowing down" when it's their turn. No I don't care but it is noticed and sad, like you need to max the opportunity of others being generous, esp your friends...
No this isn't exactly like tipping because the other person is also doing their job, but you guys don't get it that it's all about reciprocation. Yes the service has to be good to warrant it, but you guys come off like you're taking advantage of the situation. Maybe waiters should just get paid a full wage, prices go up, you pay the higher bill as if you paid the normal price with a decent tip, and everyone goes home happy

Not sure how you can throw both the people that don't tip and the people that tip well in that same category. I don't think there's any correlation but the people you're referencing are definitely unappreciated. Or they wait to get something expensive when it's your turn to get the round.
I think things would be easier if tips were built into the price but then you'd have a lot of NT'ers angry about how the price of unlimited breadsticks at Olive Garden went up and they can't believe the waiter still cut them off.

I would never bring change like that. That's shooting yourself in the foot. On a 38 dollar check. you gotta come back with a 10, two 5's, and two 1's. Coming back with two 10's and two 1's is straight lazy, or amateur...probably both.

Servers make a percentage of the bill, depending on how good their service is.
I don't valet anymore, bcuz they stole a pistol out of my car, and I didn't see who parked it.
Just dropped my keys off like a dummy.
Not tippin the barber. He already cleaning up for $15 in 20 mins time.
Pizza guy is getting $5 in most cases.

Damn wow...you tip pizza delivery 5, but no tip at all for barber? That's kinda weird in my opinion. Tip your barber 7 on 15 and see how much nicer and cleaner your haircut is next time around. If you tip heavier than that, you'll probably end up skipping people who are waiting in front of you.

I live in Houston, $15 for a haircut is already generous when most barbers charge $10.
It's my homie who cuts my hair, it's not gonna get better because of a few bucks, he would cut it for free, but I value any mans time.
Hell, He makes more than me, he don't need a tip. He makes $30-$45 an hour, no taxes. So let's say he gets 2 haircuts an hour for 8 hours. That's 240 a day, and he pays the owner $25 a day to rent the chair. He just cashed out on $215 in one day. Tax free.
I don't wait, I make an appointment, and make sure I'm there on time.
Meanwhile the pizza delivery guy is making $7.50 an hour.
