yea I had a guy that would of traded me a ds size 12 plus 50 for ds bc3 but I fell asleep and he bought a pair off eBay smh
That seems fair. Those are probably the only shoes I'd trade these for right now, but it's always in the back of my mind that they'll just release them again in a couple of years.

They are clearly smart with what they are doing... They build hype to keep people interested in buying a shoe that is nearly 30 years old. If they flooded the market with them most hype beast posers wouldn't be interested and they'd end up on clearance. They clearly have some strategy here. Cancelling NDC was probably also part of the hype machine strategy.

NDC cancelled drop not apart of the 'hype machine'....they cancelled with less than 24 hours out from drop date nothing strategic in that calculation also it's not like they get to 'increase' the price in the interim to increase the profit margin. Without the cancellation they would get $160 a pair and post cancellation they will get $160 a pair.

But in the context of what I was saying, Nike knows what they are doing by not flooding the market with each Jordan release. They are created a demand that exceeds supply that ensures they will continue to move pairs. Thirst is so real for these right now. People that couldn't get these are fiending for the next best thing, the Shattered Backboards. Less people would be after those if they were able to grab the Chicagos. And if Chicagos were widely and readily available, way less people would be interested in them. The fact people cant have them is what is driving up demand.

Nike is a marketing machine. People that think they should just make a zillion pairs and have them widely available just don't understand the nature of business, and the fickleness of the current young buying market. JB is staying relevant with strategy.

If you are on the fence about the prices now, you better pull the trigger soon cause I'm telling you the prices are going to go up in the next week or two after the Sbb's come out

Yeah, but they cancelled to act tough on an issue they aren't tough on and haven't been tough on. And they knew full well what it would do to the secondary market. Bunch of turds making decisions at Nike.

Took some pictures this morning. Originals with 2015s.
Great pics! Very tough and convincing..... I'm on the edge to drop 420 on a 160 dollar shoe

....do ya'll really believe prices will only go up?

The only thing we have to base our decisions on is the history of other OG 1 releases and those have only gone up in price. History shows that there is usually a price jump once another OG1 launches. This one will likely be the same, but it's definitely different considering Nike still hasn't launched them online... only time will tell.

if you're sz 8-9.5 420 is as low as it gets without jumping through hoops, you can find much better deals 10 and up

My Chi's arrived today. I know it's been said before, but the leather quality is pretty nice for a Jordan 1....much better than the leather on my Black and Whites and Black Toes.

I don't have Frags or Shadows to compare them to.
