The Official Melo M11 Thread.

Hi Duke,

I am interested in grabbing a pair from shoejocky.com at the $98 price point. However, the closest to my size they have in the color I want is an 11. I have read they are pretty narrow in the toebox, but would these be too big to keep my feet locked down while playing?

For reference, I wear a size 10.5 in Lebron 11 lows, Jordan retro 13s & 11s, and Flightposites.

Did you go true to size or a half size up as recommended by some?

I went TTS on this ( I know you asked Duke)

the M10's ran big so I went with 11.5 on those

go with your true size i really think u wont dissapoint

I would say TTS as well. The shoe does fit a little narrow, and if you have to you can go up half, but for best stay true.

Cool man, thanks for the response.

Thanks for the response. Shoejocky only has the white (non christmas) colorway in my size, 10.5. I really wanted the Cardinal or black and gold colorways. Debating whether I should pull the trigger on these all whites. Decisions decisions...

Hi Duke,

Have you tried the superfly 3 (SF3)? If so, how do you feel about the M11 vs. the SF3? Shoejocky has my size in the SF3 for about $5 less. I wanted to get your thoughts. Is the M11 a much better basketball shoe over the SF3? I mostly value ankle support/stability and cushioning. I am currently using the flightposite exposed to play in and really like the fit, although a little snug at first, of the shoe. I am getting older, 31, but still play pretty aggressively. I mostly play pickup games both indoor and outdoor.

Thanks,

Gauchowr

I did a SF3 review on Counterkicks but short version - fit is horrible to me - too stiff and wide - I could never get locked in. The Melo and sf3 are direct opposite in fit. Cushioning and traction are about the same, but I like the leather/synthetic Melo materials.

Okay. Melo11 it is.

Thanks

So it looks like there won't be a bhm m11 which is really disappointing because I Really liked the m10 bhm

My review.

Got the gold standard. I'm a 5-9 point guard, and usually no one can stay in front of me unless they played serious high level hoops.

First off in HOH i was impressed with fit and zoom especially. The split sole at first was a trip, but I copped anyway.

I wore them around my house for a couple hours getting used to fit, felt cool. I have a regular foot I think, Def not wide, felt locked in.

So first run I warm up loose laces, get ready to run, and tighten them up. Dudes had no chance, blowing past people, felt great, unguardable off the dribble. Traction was insane. It was like I was wearing cleats, support was good, fit was good, I had to relace a bunch though, like once a game they came loose.

THEN THE BLUE SOLE RIPPED in my second game in them. To much friction, maybe I am just to quick for that level of traction. The side sole near the front tore on the left shoe, crazy.

Maybe the blue sole had something to do with it. Beats me. Taken them back tomorrow. Not sure if I get same kicks, red ones maybe, or kd7s.

Maybe some Roses.

Anyway, buyer beware if you are a quick guard like me.

Pics? That sucks that they didn't hold up. I would try one more pair and see if they fall apart too before going to another shoe.

I ended up copping same set, my boy and the salesman convinced me it was just a defective shoe. No pics sorry. But if these tear, I'm out of chances and going with something else.

Played in these for the first time tonight and was really impressed. A lot more 'bounce' from the zoom compared to the XX9 (but not as much as the xx8/M10's). IMO they were more fun to play in than the XX9 and suited my game more - will be a main part of my on court rotation this year.

I held the M11 up, it was surprisingly light. Even Hyperrev light but you get harder upper, the rubber soles is really soft i can pinch it with my finger, so i don't think it's suitable for outdoors. But i think it's quite a shoe.

we're more interested in seeing your self-proclaimed quickness than the shoe TBH, do you have a video of your game?

btw for fast guards i think CP3 or Anatomix would be a better choice?

may i know more about this store? 1st time i've heard it. is it something like Amazon or more like sole seller webstore? are their products real & service good? i see their shipping rates for international is quite cheap, is it just an estimate? do they accept paypal?

They except Paypal and are legit. It is a store based in the UK I believe. Now you may get hit with customs charges and what not if you exceed a certain amount spent but they are for real.

Repped!  I was trying not to buy anymore shoes today, but that was a price I couldn't pass on...
I understand that, I couldn't pass it up at all. I think they are really clean and I prefer the leather.

Thanks for the reply, do they charge tax for buyers outside UK?

Too bad after the link was posted M11 is almost sold out, couldn't get my size even earlier. Also other models that's on discount also out of size after a while, i guess the site's today's sales really have to thank alot to this forum. $89 for M11 Christmas, $79 for Superfly3 Christmas...
